Where were they? Who had those voices been? Who was this other person?

The two young women stared at each other. Neither had seen the other before, so why suddenly start dreaming about a person not one of them knew?

But then, that begged the question... They were dreaming, right?

The girl with the white and pale blue ombre braids was the first to speak. It would only be polite to introduce herself. "Hello, I'm Sailor Blue Lace Agate Caribou. May I ask who you are?" She put her gloved fingers up to her mouth, surprised at the words that she had blurted out. She was sure she had meant to say Hillá Kärkkäinen. Where had all that come from? There was no need to hide her identity from someone else who was like her.

The silver haired girl looked at her oddly. "Sailor Iolite Horse. Do you know where we are?"

They both looked around, trying to find something to mark where they were, but there was nothing of interest to be seen, except for a number of large, iridescent pillars of crystal filling a hall that seemed to go on forever.

"Definitely just a dream," Iolite Horse muttered.

"Well, we're probably going to be here for a while. We should use this time to get to know each other. I've been wondering for a while whether I was ever going to meet someone else like me. It's nice to know that I'm not alone. So, where are you from?" Agate Caribou asked.

They both sat down on the cold and hard crystal floor.

"France, mostly, but I am Rroma also. My family moves around a lot. And you?"

"I live primarily in Northern Finland, but I move with my family for the caribou migrations. We are Saami, and we have a herd to look after." She smiled. "It's nice to meet another nomadic person. I wonder if those three voices planned it this way, or whether it was just a happy coincidence that we ended up meeting."

"You heard them too? Do you know what they meant when they said it was time to fulfill our destiny?"

Agate Caribou shook her head. "I was hoping you would know. But I suppose we are like this for a reason. I wonder how many others like us are out there."

Iolite spotted something in the distance. "Well, why don't we find out. There's a door. We should see what's on the other side." She stood up and walked over to it with the other girl close behind. "Let's hope there's not something like a horrible monster through here, huh? That would be bad."

They both laughed, but anxiety crept in quickly. What if it was a monster on the other side?

"Come on, we'll go through together. Whatever it is, we'll have each other's back."

They each put a hand on the opalescent double doors and pushed, ready for whatever they would find.
