My friend and I went to the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest premiere yesterday. The night before, I started trying to draw the three main characters so I could maybe use it to get autographs, but I wasn't really happy with how they all came out so I didn't finish. My body clock is all weird now, so past 4 am I wasn't sleeping well, so I got up at 6 and tries to fix the picture. I was happy enough with this one to ink it and then I had enough time to do a speedy color job with my Copics (face and hair) and Prismacolors (clothes).Taking out the picture helped break the ice with the people sitting near us and I did end up getting it autographed when the famous people started. The bottom black one is Orlando Bloom (Will Turner), top black is Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow), and I can't tell which gold is Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Swann) and which is Gore Verbinski (the director). I am quite pleased.
Done in Copic liners and markers & Prismacolor markers with little gold accents in Sharpie gold poster paint pen.

lol you probably already know this by now, but Keira's sig. is the top one by orlando/will. i only know this because i'm obsessed with her

I think that's the one I thought was hers. The other squiggle looked more like it contained a G so that went along with my theory.

Thanks! There wasn't exactly time to have a chat. I asked him to please sign, he said it was quite good (which probably made my year), he looked me in the eye and smiled and then he moved on. Had I known I wasn't going to go to the 3rd movie's premiere (and that even if I had gone, they had a rule for the celebrities to not take pictures with the fans because it took so long), I might have fought for a picture with him. But him saying he liked it was very cool to me.

I read that he passed some days here in the end of 2007/beggining of 2008 (I don't remember e_e), but in the north of Brazil.. I didn't see him ¬¬

EEEE! I think it looks great, actually! I like the unfinished, sketchy quality a lot - makes it more expressive and free, in a way. Dunno, I think it's cool as it is.

Thanks! I was afraid I'd die to see them up close, but I was remarkably calm, except for the thirst-induced shaking and the squashing. But other than that... A couple of the people near us were freaking out (not in the good way) enough for all of us.

I think I'd be able to have a coherent, polite conversation with everyone (even Davenport, whose voice makes me die a little inside) ...but Johnny Depp - he is just too hot. I would MELT on the spot. XD

Wow... you are so unbelieveably lucky! I am fairly jealous here! They say that Johnny Depp is the #1 Nicest autographer- saying he will stop just about anywhere and sign autographs. But that does not change the fact that I am so jealous.

I am, I can't believe I got the three autographs I really wanted! Johnny was really really great, but I'd have to say Orlando is the #1 nicest autographer because he actually seemed to enjoy doing it.

I can't honestly imagine meeting Johnny and Orlando... I think it would horribly uproot the pretty images I have in my head and make them human and stuff.... I like them as little fantasies!

That's what I was afraid of. I think my fantasies are still safe because I don't feel like I got to know them as people from this. Now I just know for sure that they look even better in person than in pictures, and that's some feat.

I think overall the experience was worth it. We were near some really cool people, we got the soundtrack for free, we saw tons of famousy people and got autographs, so the one bad thing was the standing and getting squished. I think the good outweighs it and I'd do it again next year.

We didn't get to see the movie because we didn't win the uber hard to get tickets. I hope I'll be seeing it on the 7th too. I'm pretty sure it'll rock.

Thanks! He's mine too, so it was really cool to see him at close. He's such a sweetheart. He signed for practically everybody, took pictures with bunches of people and chatted as he did it. Really really cool guy and it doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous too.

Oh ya, very worth it. There was a massive girl behind me, squishing me into the crowd. She pushed her huge stomach up against my back, and I actually felt it rumble.
