Description Or vice-versa.

Next in the list of Great Yokai Gods is Susanoo, the first Suiro.

Growing up VERY early on, Susanoo was envious of how much attention his spiritual sister Amaterasu got with so little effort, and that she likely didn't realize this. As a hard-working sort, this angered him, so one day, he went and challenged Amaterasu to a public duel. He defeated her without breaking a sweat, but this stunt gave him an unfavorable image to everyone present, and earned him a harsh scolding from his maker, Izanagi. And worse, this contributed to Amaterasu hiding away from everyone. Wracked with guilt, Susanoo asked if there was anything he could do to make amends. Izanagi could only tell him to take a pilgrimage of self-reflection - there, he would find the answers he seeks.

And so, Susanoo journeyed across Japan, trying to figure out his answer. It was then that he came across a village that was under the terror of a monster the likes of which was never seen before - Orochi, which happened to be one of the first large-scale Akumashi that the time-hopping Muramasa created. This eight-headed serpent blackmailed the village into giving sacrificial maidens to him for his "protection services". Such selfish business did not sit well with Susanoo, so he laid out a trap to catch the monster.

Since Orochi had an attraction to sweet aromas, like the perfumes worn by the sacrifices, Susanoo laid out eight large vats of sake with a strong sweet smell. As expected, Orochi came across the vats and, overcome by the scent, dipped his mouths into all eight vats. Upon this, Susanoo activated his trap, with clamps slapping over the monster's necks from the hay below. Then, by conjuring blades of pure summer wind, he hacked the heads apart and then busted the torso to pieces.

What he found within its remains was a cluster of Dark Stardust and its bronze spine. Figuring he could learn some more about Orochi from these parts, Susanoo brought them for Izanagi to examine - though not before the village gave their thanks to him for stopping the monster. This praise for his work...it resonated with him. He finally found his answer.

And so Susanoo returned to Mamono, presenting his findings to Izanagi. The bronze spine was reforged into a sword that Susanoo called Kusanagi, which he then gave to Amaterasu as part of his apology. Just as Amaterasu became more open to how others felt, Susanoo was more selfless about using his talent to help others.

As a Suiro (water dragon Yokai), Susanoo of course can use ki to manipulate water. In all, though, he can control the elements of Water, Thunder, Wind, and Ice. He can also swim at 20 knots and dive up to 4 leagues, but his back fins can also expand into kite-like wings, letting him glide on the undulating gales that he controls.

He's the main inspiration for Yokai warriors, as well as the Dairantou rankings to measure these warriors' capabilities. Especially formidable is his skill with his straight-sword channel Habakiri. Its blade actually forms from ki-infused water, and can adjust its sharpness and its length (slightly) on the fly.

Susanoo may seem like a goof-off slacker sometimes, especially with his abrasive tongue and biting mannerisms, but he has the best intentions and a cunning mind underneath it all. He takes his daily workout seriously, occasionally taking it a little further than normal. Also, he must have worked on a level of alcohol tolerance, because he barely gets sick from drinking.
