This, for me, is a perfect capture of the personalities of the characters in this unique style! Interpretations of them as actual cats are always interesting, this one does it fantastically. The facial expressions are priceless.

I first had an idea for this drawing almost a year ago. Before I became a mad CATS fan, I was a little opposed to anthropormorphic figures. While I began to recover from this reluctance, I had an idea for the characters that would distuingish them as the animals they were intended to be. So, it when on like any other drawing of mine; really excited and starting and finishing the line work, coloring one character, gets sick of coloring, and starts back up 5 months later. Only I had a horrible problem that has stunted my drawings in the past as well; background. I wanted this one to be all black for the most part, but did not want to spend the time laboring with a colored pencil, which would probably come out a little sloppy, and risk smudging the characters.

For those of you who are not familiar with her stunning work, is quite the craft Antlered Hare when it comes to digital coloring. What fortune! A master in the Photo Shop arts lives only a few streets down and kindly accepts my request for a tutering lession! And wow, is that complex software! I don't know how she (and anyone who knows the computer program) does it!

I hope you all enjoy this idea I conjured up, and hope it passes alright as a first time blending with true computer arts (and acknowledge just how cool Jackalopes are)!
