I was up for 48 hours trying to finish this print in time for AX 09. Finished it about 2 hours before I had to be at the airport. Never again. Although it did sell better than all my other 11"x17" prints lol.
This is pretty much a replacement print for my old 1st gen Pokemon print ---> [link] which has since been discontinued as a print because it's ugly as fuck.
I actually really like how this came out. I don't usually work with gradients but I've found that it works very well with cel-shaded drawings. I plan on using this technique more often~

Pr I know this might be annoying to post this but considering I am on a venusaur post and I am stuck might as well ask does anyone know what nickname I should give my male Venusaur? I thought Bruteroot off the first film or Poison Ivy but Poison Ivy I think would only go with a female

The first generation will always be special for me
The size difference and the placement show the most evolved forms sprouting from the unevolved- I like that, and the action poses! Those are perfect for a video game series

My favs for the first and second were, Charmander, and Balbasour, then Cyndiquil and Chickorita! I never really am ever fond of the water types!!!

Indeed i think 1st gen would have to be one of my all time faves, with the on going and never ending, growing number of Pokemon now out... and more coming... I really like to see these guys and the old 1st gen stuff from time to time
