I was up for 48 hours trying to finish this print in time for AX 09. Finished it about 2 hours before I had to be at the airport. Never again. Although it did sell better than all my other 11"x17" prints lol.
This is pretty much a replacement print for my old 1st gen Pokemon print ---> [link] which has since been discontinued as a print because it's ugly as fuck.
I actually really like how this came out. I don't usually work with gradients but I've found that it works very well with cel-shaded drawings. I plan on using this technique more often~

I liked the first series of Pokemon better, don't you agree? They had more cool designs, but later on, they all just started looking like they were designed to be flat, plastic figurines rather than actual creatures.

i use gradient with soft shading too. it adds depth to the painting. :3

Quite a big improvement. I love the way the final evolutions are posed in such a space. Charizard looks way too cool. I kind of wish I went to AX now. XD;
