Um. If you can't tell I ship Harry/Hermione. Always have. DH1 threw me back into the ship and Tumblr made it about 1000000000x worse. Whatever. I love these kids. These kids are perfect. I REGRET NOTHING.
Let's just pretend the epilogue never happened mmkay? Mmkay.
Keep the ship wank to a minimum k. And if you feel you need to judge someone's intelligence by a ship they like then you need to get your priorities in order.

Ugh, I love you, I love Harry Potter, I love Hermione Granger, I love these two kids and their beautiful and perfect and tragic relationship. And I so know what you mean about Tumblr and the freakin' DH movies... I hadn't actively shipped in the HP fandom for a long, long time (since the shipping wars! i think i even have quite a few battle scars left...), but gosh, Yates and Kloves' extreme H/Hr shipping brought me back. BUT QUITE FRANKLY, IDGAF AND I HAVE NO REGRETS. xDDD

THESE ARE MY FEELINGS EXACTLY lol. And yeah, before DH1, I had been out of touch with this fandom for yearrrs, ever since the early parts of the shipping wars when it felt like there was still hope for this ship [ie before book 6 lol]. But yeah man, no fucks given, I will go down with this ship.

I'm pretty much the same when it comes to reading the series, actually. I just feel like I really need to read it again and pay more attention to things rather than just reading the books to read them.

I'm going to be honest. I thought this was the canon pairing for the first four books, until someone pointed it out to me that she and Ron had this thing going on. And even then it took a while for me to believe it. The scene in Philosopher's Stone when she hugs him before he travels through the fire to confront Quirrel and tells him he's brilliant, that was the start of that ship for me.

Lol you're not alone. I kept believing until book 6, then I was like... well shit. What a mess. I don't even remember when I first started seeing them as a couple tho. But definitely after the 4th book I was just like yeah, they look good together plz make out now.
But that line in the first book is one of the favorites of most HHr supporters. FRIENDSHIP AND BRAVERY that is what this ship is based on and it's beautiful.

Omg there were a few times especially in the last two movies where I was like oh hell, they're going to throw a wrench in canon aren't they. They got close [lolol the dance in the tent and I'LL GO WITH YOU] but nothing really huge.
LOL oh god the RHr kiss. If I shipped it, I would have been pissed. RON MOVE YOUR BIG FAT HEAD OUT OF THE WAY I CAN'T SEE SHIT. Oh man. The I'LLGOWITHYOU hug had more to it than the kiss hahaha.

Granted I have not read the books or even watched the movies, I always remember thinking that these two would have gotten together. I was kind of surprised to learn later that they never did and were paired off with other characters.
