Description     Before the actual description of this organism, I’d like to note that I’m using the Spectember list created by Din0boy1, which can be found here: www.deviantart.com/din0boy1/ar…

The Indifferent Monarchs are massive organisms that live on a low-gravity planet. They are about 73 meters tall (or 240 feet). An organism that massive would need plenty of nutrients and support, even if they are on a low gravity planet. Their bones are made of enamel, and to get nutrients, they use methane from the air, which there is a lot of on this planet. To get oxygen, instead of breathing, tentacles on their feet (each of which has its own brain) collect iron from the ground, which is also abundant on this planet alongside methane gas. Since they have no natural predators, they’re a bright red color year-round, and their foot tentacles protect them from any little predators trying to nip at their feet.

One big mystery is how or why the Indifferent Monarchs got so big, considering that all other organisms on this planet are at most 50% their size. Why are their heads like watchtowers with eyes on the very top of them if there’s nothing for them to look out for? Well, these questions, along with some very curious fossils, point towards a predator that existed some time ago that specialized in eating the monarchs. Due to a decline in monarch population and a migration of all the remaining individuals, however, the predators went extinct in a blink of an eye.

The reason they’re named “indifferent monarchs” is that they have a tendency to accidentally crush all other life while they tread across the plains. They’re so big, they just don’t notice or care. This has unfortunately led to them stomping on human settlements, easily destroying them in mere minutes.
