Yeah, as amazing as this painting is, the crouching position doesn't suit him, and I doubt he'd be able to do that with prosthetic legs either.

Very nice. My one nitpick however, is that Vader should never crouch in battle. He should always stand tall.

I really love this pose. Great piece. However I cant imagine Vader ever doing this. The prosthetics hew wa given were heavy and awkward and didnt work that well. Any of the old novels (the universe disney canned) made refference to how difficult even walking could be. Either way. The composition of this piece is amazing keep it up!

Well he was pretty quick/agile in Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. I think what it might be is that when Vader is not fighting, he uses what passes for his regular strength to move around. But when it comes to fighting, he draws on the Force(Dark Side) for the 'enhancements' of speed, strength, and agility.

What I'm waiting for in one of the future movies. . .Vader(not Anakin) appears before Ryo Ken and says, "Until youΒ get your legs chopped off andΒ 3/4 of your body burned, you're acting like a spoiled girlyΒ boy!Β You're making the Sith look bad!"

Even for someone with properly working limbs, there is no reason to ever be in this position in a fight. Ever.
