This is part 2 of my latest art trade with my buddy,Line art by Rysicup, colouring by me!
This trade was something different for us. We both worked with the theme of 'Forbidden Love' and we were to pick one of our WoW characters for the other to draw. After finishing our line art, we swap our artwork and colour the other person's line art. Pictured here is my mage, Glynnee, and an unnamed low level human warrior.

This is the first time I've tried seriously colouring someone else's line art. I won't lie - it was difficult and I felt outside of my comfort zone. I will also confess and admit that I made some modifications to Rysicup's line art. Most of the changes were very small, but some were...umm..not so small. I hope she doesn't mind!
It was an interesting learning experience!

Unfortunately, she's very anti-Alliance in general. In fact, I'm working on a new picture of her that I'll post up on my other account later this week. You'll know what I mean!

I'm still around! I've been drawing a fair amount, but just not WoW stuff lately, unfortunately. I cancelled my WoW subscription the other week, which was kinda sad, but I will still draw WoW art again!

Yeah, I think I might have to do the same...I never seem to find the time to play. It's a shame, as I was really getting into playing my worgen druid! I can still make images of her though, so it's not all bad.

I'll playing my two druids, but I don't seem to be missing the game much at all. So many things that I didn't like since Cataclysm came out, and Blizzard seems to be disinterested in doing anything to improve the game. Oh well.

Things are ok thanks, hope the same is true for you! I have been doing a lot more practise on my painting these days - it's coming along ok, but my lineart still sucks 
It's nice to do some makeup and hair painting on my models though...going to try painting a robe on a character soon!

Blood Elves.....always the blood elves who manage to get cross factions relationships in fan fictions. I wonder why :-P
As for the picture, the whole room gets a really nice depth with this colour scheme, even the shadows on the wall makes it blend really nice together. Not to mention so many small details the viewer can spot, like the high lights on the pole and so on.

It was certainly a learning experience, that's for sure. I don't think I'm cut out to be a colourist, but I'm glad I did it. I'm just too much of a control freak!
Oh, and I've got a good start on the trade/request thing we're doing. It's going to be at least two images. I'm liking it so far.

I'm still slowly formulating an idea in my head, but I'm getting closer. I did have one idea, but it's very similar to something I was already planning on drawing, and the idea might be a bit too weird for you, lol.

Wow!!! This is amazing!! It's gorgeous! I love all the colors you used. The shadow on the wall of the tent is such a nice touch, too!
As for the modifications; I love them. You definitely put the space to better use than what I had in the original line art. And if you did anysthing else, I can't really tell. But seriously, this is amazing.

I'm not 100% happy with it, but I can say that I really tried my best with it.
One thing I will say about colouring other people's line art, is that it feels really weird. Like wearing someone else's pants kind of weird!
