In For a Penny, In For the Pool

Penny couldn’t believe how cute Kelsey had turned out. She knew Kelsey loved the way toy soldiers looked, but she never expected that to come out in her pattern as a swimsuit, or for it to look so adorable.

The whole thing had made Penny a bit uncomfortable at first. She had told Kelsey about this strange thing she had heard of where someone would wear another person turned into clothing. Much to Penny’s surprise Kelsey not only knew about it, but said she wanted to try it and offered to be her swimsuit for their upcoming beach trip.
One by one, Kelsey helped alleviate Penny’s worries. It would be normal to wear her if she was a swimsuit. She would fit well. Kelsey would enjoy trying it too. As Kelsey helped mitigate Penny’s worries, she started to get more excited, though she did have one more reservation.

“What about if you don’t like it and turn back early?” Penny asked, “I don’t want to be standing there when suddenly you decide it’s too much and turn back, leaving me without anything on.”
“Oh, that’s easy, I’ll just add a reversal clause,” Kelsey explained, “That way I won’t be able to turn back until we’re back and you’ve taken me off.”
Kelsey went on to explain the exact details, but at that point, Penny wasn’t paying much attention. She was too intrigued at actually trying out this wild idea.
Now, looking at the swimsuit Penny couldn’t help but be excited. “Wow, Kelsey, you turned out amazing, but I don't think you’re right for the beach. You would be perfect for the pool though. It’s going to get cooler soon and I’ll switch over to swimming there. Hopefully you don’t mind waiting a few weeks.”

Wrapped around the mannequin Penny had put her on, Kelsey was getting worried. Penny must not have been paying attention when she explained the reversal clause. It specified that she could only turn back after being worn “to the beach.” Hopefully Penny would realize that, or Kelsey worried, she might become Penny’s permanent indoor swimsuit.

Hopefully Penny realizes what's wrong, but Kelsey does make the cutest swimsuit, and there is that saying, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth." It's possible that Penny will just consider herself lucky to have something so adorable to wear every time she goes to the pool.
