Alright...I admit it, and Im not ashamed for it. I'm a sucker for a good love story. Especially if it involves a large bit of historical signifigance that I can freely research and delve into at a moment's notice.
Did somebody say Titanic?

I said Titanic, and I also said I love it.

Not just the film, mind you, but the Titanic's history in its entirety. Have been for years. I'd say that the film brought it close to home however, seeing as how when I first heard about the film, back in 1997, I got interested in the ship. I'd make models out of loose bits of Cardboard, and I'd draw endless schematics of the ships layout, and interior designs.

Of course at this point I was in sixth grade and would have gotten myself beat up had I said anything to my peers at school...
But to my closer friends I'd tell them about the information I'd read in books that my parents had purchased for me.

Heh even to this day I can't help but love it.
[the movie makes me cry, and guess what? I'm still attracted to women! take that stereotypical jock-types.]
Anyhoo...
This is supposed to be Jack and Rose, the Film's main protagonists. Now don't get me wrong, I know they look nothing like their respective actors here, but I'm hardly worried about that right now.
I was just going for an approximation, and I'm pretty sure I succeeded.

I paused the movie a few times to get Rose's outfit right, and I just realized I left out her shawl completely....
Damn...Oh well, I think that may have detracted from the piece....probably why I erased the original lines for it.

Anyway, yes drawing her Butterfly comb is difficult on such a small scale, as is the Couer de la Mer [the Heart of the Ocean, for those of you unfamiliar with it]. And I unwittingly seemed to have drawn my cartoon likeness as Jack's Cartoon likeness....oh well...
Good for me.

Also, I'm far too scared to color this...
Im too happy with the lines, and I intend on keeping them intact.
[Anyone else is more than welcome to color it though, wink wink, dear readers, wink wink.]

Uh so yeah, Im mighty pleased with how this turned out.
I hope you feel the same!
