So I was never really quite happy with my first version of Zaphod.

I mean the drawing was okay, but alot of detail was lost when I inked him. And he looked a bit too much like Sam Rockwell for my tastes, especially as I was trying to go out of the book for character design, which I managed quite well with Arthur and Ford, [link]

So I decided to have another go at him, especially as I had begun reading the "trilogy" again.
And as expected it, it was still as great this time around as it was the first.

I'm really exceptionally happy with how this turned out, for those of you familiar with my work are no doubt aware that backgrounsa are not my "thing" but I wanted to give this one a go anyway, and I'm not disappointed.

As I stated before I do my best to go off of the books rendition of the character as opposed to the film [though I still love the film].
And I attempted to make Easter Island [which is named by a meaningless coincidence] look like it is supposed to in the book, and especially the Heart of Gold Ship, which as opposed to the spherical counterpart in the film, is related in the book as a running shoe-like affair.
I think I succeded.
And the small robot is mentioned only in passing in the book as, "Government Spiders," thus was born that little blocky...thing. I think he's cute, except for the brain in the top of its Ultrabdomen.
