Description
When the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake. Spooks come out for a swingin' wake.Happy Haunts materialize, and begin to vocalize.
Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize!
~ The Haunted Mansion
-----------------------
So I haven't actually been to a Disney theme park since early 2003, this does not however by any circumstances mean that I can't still reminisce about my various trips to both WDW and Disneyland.
In fact has reawakened my love of the parks, but I digress.
I got a copy of, "Disney's Happiest Celebration on Earth" CD in commemoration of Disneyland's 50th anniversary.
This had a track of the song from the park's popular ride, The Haunted Mansion.
Listening to this on an infinite loop I had a thought.
There is alot of macabre out there, horror too, but it seems to me that really only Tim Burton captured the kind of macabre humor and fun that I love oh so much.
So I decided, more along the lines of inspired, to start not so much a comic series but snippets of Halloween/macabre/horror themed fun.
No clue what to call it yet, but I'm still in the planning stages, and hell, Halloween is just around the corner, eh?
So yes, all I have right now is this fellow, the very dapper, Sebastian Krypta. He will be your generously ghoulish host for the proceedings.
Keep your eyes peeled, some of the most fun I've ever had is in planning things like this.
Happy Hauntings!

You drew the picture I had on my mind since I first saw a Tim Burton Movie. You freakin' drew a quarter of my mind, dude! How'd you do that? XD Naw, really, I love it. The stick rocks, the skull looks awesome, the hands are a dream - I wish I could draw hands Dx - and the clothing blew me away. I mean, this is propably what my soul would look like if one could see it XD A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! God, I love this x_x

Ha! Thanks so much! If you like this one, I suggest you take a look at my others. If you hop into my gallery and look at the sidebar you should see, at the very top, a folder which reads, "Ghoulish Delight" There are a few things in there like this.
Thanks again!

Now, this design is quite impressive! I love the way you made him look much more friendly than most of the skeleton characters out there. Awesome!

Well I like the idea of a scare that doesn't necessarily have to be an evil thing, all of these folks are kind natured. They'll just scare the crap out of you.
it's their job.

Exactly. I like the comedy-style horror alot more than the serious horror.

I've started using the term "Fun-Scary" or "Fun-Horror" in reference to these characters and the genre.

I hadn't previously been aware that skeletons wore cravats.

Oh o' course they do.
They're loose fitting, allowing for less occurence of bits of bone falling off.

Yes, I imagine it would behoove yon skeletons to keep their bits--wouldn't want their heads to fall off, no? (I see that your skeleman has eyeballs as well...imagine if those fell out! Ach!)

quite so.
You have to remember that there is a substantial portion of suspense of disbelief with such a character.

GADS, I love the name!! "Krypta"=crypt! Props!
And I was also laughing about the ciggy thing--what the heck: good ol' General Grievous in SW Ep. III was a robot that coughed like an emphysema patient--suspension of disbelief is expected for things like that!
Great costume, too--"dapper" is a superb description for him--"ritzy" might be another! Your timing couldn't be better, actually--with Halloween just around the corner!
Love the idea, and best of luck with the project!

Actually I think Grievous was partially organic...some terrible accident and they had to replace most of his body with that metal form....that's why Obi-Wan was able to kill him...
But still A robot looking guy coughing is mighty absurd
And thank you! I loved the outfit so much that I'm putting it together and will be him for my Halloween party this year
I'll be posting up pictures here when its completed
>_<
And yes Ritzy is also a good one...can't you just see him dancing with Fred Astaire to the song, "Puttin' On the Ritz"?

That hadn't occured to me, but he is, afterall, a walking, talking Skeleton.
Suspension of disbelief for now until I figure out how that works?

perhaps I'll add that in a later design....though im pretty unsure as to how he's going to keep it attatched....
But for now lets just say, he left them in his other pants....in San Fransisco.
