Description
Arthur: What? Harmless? Is that all it's got to say? Harmless? One word!Ford: Well there are a hundred million stars in the Galaxy, and only a limited amount of space in the book's microprocessors, and no one knew much about the Earth, of course.
Arthur: Well for God's sake, I hope you managed to rectify that a bit.
Ford: Oh yes, well, I managed to transmit a new entry off to the editor. He had to trim it a bit, but it's still an improvement.
Arthur: And what does it say now?
Ford: Mostly Harmless.
~ Douglas Adams [abridged for her pleasure]
-----------
So I really like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...I mean REALLY like it.
So much so in fact that were I able to pick up a copy for myself, that being the real Guide from the Ursa Minor B Publishing Corporation, I could [and would] die a very happy, and knowledgable man.
Hell I even write my own guide entries, which seems to go over well with the people I write them for...
If you're interested let me know, I'd be happy to let you skim over them, or even write one for you...Seriously I have 29 written.
Regardless, this is my interpretation of Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect. Notwithstanding that I quite love their film counterparts [especially Mos Def], I wanted to go for my own designs, and I think I succeeded, especially with Ford there.
I showed this to a friend earlier and he told me, and I agree with him, that Ford's expression is the best thing about the drawing.
Its got one of those, "Hey, shit Happens. Try some of this food that may not settle with your physiology!" looks on his face.
And well that just seems like something ford would say, doesn't it?
Yes I think so.
I may expand on this later...I was considering putting a Vogon, or even Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz in there...but who knows...it may mess up the flow...
Please enjoy.

Is that a Hargro biscuit?
Oh, 'harmless'. I loved that scene. There quite a few anti climactic scenes in H2G2, aren't there?

I kind of want a hotdog-pickle monstrosity now... just to see what the hell it would taste like.
And now I'm fearing for my sanity.
See what you made me do? I think I've gone mad.

I prefer a young Christopher Lloyd.
Mixed with a little bit of Chip Zien of Into the Woods Fame.

Mm... Hitchhiker's Guide. :3
I've seen the new movie, and read the first two books. D: I hope they make another one based on "The Restaraunt At The End Of The Universe". With Alan voicing Marvin. ::My fave character.
With Slartibartfast a very close second::
Lovely work, as always!

I love the books and the film, though I still need to read Mostly Harmless and the Salmon of Doubt, and I wouldn't mind reading Starship Titanic.
I'm going to be doing more Hitchhiker's Work soon I think....people seem to like it.
And I like doing it...so yeah

More people need to read the books/watch the show/see the movie/play the game/listen to the original BBC radio series and bask in its confusing glory.
