General Abrams is the leader of the Hellcats and Shermans.
His fellow soldier see him as both a strong and just leader. Abrams will do anything to protect his soldiers and the natives. even going so far as putting himself in the line of fire.

the one thing Abrams cannot stand is anyone even his own soldiers abusing women and children. Abrams sees it as a coward trying to invoke fear. and has no problem beating them into an inch of their life.

In one mission even after having his entire left arm blown off, Abrams moved forward to save a small family from terrorist. while trying to protect them the terrorist threw in a grenade, without hesitation Abrams picked up and through the grenade.
He manage to save the family at the cost of his left arm and right hands. to show their thanks the village of the family declared him a s both a hero and a member of their family

seeing how thankful the family were inspired Abrams to enter the Cysoldier program so that he can still serve his home world and protect the people who can't protect themselves.
With a new bionic arm and hand Abrams return to the U.S.A and continued to lead his soldiers.
