Nah, I was thinking that maybe they encounter the galactic empire after Steven changes the Diamond’s minds. And they even offer aid to the rebel alliance. (Kinda stacks the deck in favor of the heroes though I suppose...)

(The Death Star II powers it’s superlaser, takes aim, and the diamonds helplessly watch as their planet is blasted by the laser into cosmic dust!)

YD: “You monster... YOU MONSTER!!!”
DS: “I am a monster? Well you have colonized thousands of different planets across your galaxy, slaughtered millions of organic lifeforms from said planets, and have shattered hundreds your own people for simply being defective. If I am monster for destroying an entire planet and the lifeforms on it, then tell me...... What does that make you?”
(The Diamond’s eyes widen, realizing why they hated this man so much. It wasn’t the fact that he and his empire effortlessly took down their former guards, and captured them. It was the fact that despite the differences now... Sideous is a more sinister version of what they used to be like. Sideous chuckles evilly, which then turns into maniacal laughter. Blue cried for the loss of their people, Yellow lashed out in rage trying desperately to make the Sith Lord pay, but to no avail. White hung her head low, letting a single tear pour out of her eye. It was strange. Before Steven came in, she had always thought she was the Perfect Gem. She never cried about anything or anyone. And even after she thought Pink was shattered, she still never cried. But now, after everything that has happened, after realizing just how horrible she had been towards everyone around her, she can’t help but think that this was somehow her fault. And for the first time ever in her existence............ she cried.”

Besides... now I plan to destroy the one person you love more than anyone else, the one who caused all of this in the first place, your beloved Steven Universe! He and his planet shall die next!”
“You stay away from him!” Yellow screamed.
“Ah, There’s the rub you see, I cannot ignore what he is or who he is, as he’s someone you care deeply about, and that alone would make him worthy of hurting deeply. But he is also one of the people who could destroy me, as his power may soon become greater than my own, his and Skywalker, and so they will either join us or they will die. But I am not entirely without mercy, Diamonds. I have instructed Lord Vader to not damage either one of them so that they might be brought to me unspoiled. You will see them both brought low and consumed into the fold of the Dark Side, as your forces were long ago by our ancestors, and THEY shall be the ones to end you for all the pain you have wrought them and everyone else! And when they have, they shall be my servants, and then the last of the gems, and their final colony, earth, shall be gone from the universe forever! And every last light will be snuffed out with it... as I know it to be the destiny of all I have made, and what I have foreseen.” He cackled in triumph as the diamonds crumpled into despair...

Thanks! Guess it’s all the pent up feelings and liking for such a pure evil character, maybe I kinda relate to him somehow... Though, I guess I do kinda worry about what he’d represent to someone like Steven, who’s always so nice and forgiving and understanding and helps people with their problems and never hurts anyone, and who opens people up to help them out. What happens when someone as good as him meets someone as evil as Palpatine? I almost think he might say this to Steven too if he and his friends have the upper hand against the emperor, and maybe he could be about to kill him or something: Darth Sidious: “you can’t kill me... you won’t. And you can’t let any of them kill me either, Steven! And why? Why do you still let an irredeemable monster like me live, despite all the terrible things I have done to you, to everyone? Because ultimately, you are still weak. The guilt you would feel at even my monstrous, irredeemable life being extinguished would be far too great. You would wake up in a cold sweat every night from now until the end of your miserable, lazy and pointless life, if it even can end, seeing my face before your frightened eyes... knowing that I still defeated you, because you didn’t let me die when you should have. I, the one being you couldn’t save! The one man you couldn’t change for the better! And when I inevitably get free... it will not be Skywalker nor even the diamonds I target first... it shall be you, Steven. It will be you who is ended first... and I will find a way. And I will find you... and kill you.”

So, what do you think? (Also, I guess Star Wars and Steven Universe May not fit together all that well, mostly because one’s about a battle of good against evil, and the other’s a lot more nuanced and complex than that. Though maybe if this was Knights of the Old republic 2, they might fit together a little bit better.)

Yeah, but that doesn’t mean they’d fit together well, or that I’d really feel like they do. I can be kinda picky when it comes to liking stories and I pick up when a story’s not sticking to the rules of both worlds. (Plus, the story’s kinda incoherent and nothing connects to anything because I haven’t really done anything with it in a while, and I’m not sure if I will anytime soon...)

Hey man I get it. If it's more nuance you want star wars legends gets much more morally grey. I understand if you want to stick to cannon. And I understand balancing two worlds is probably hard but don't put too much strain on yourself with that. And you can't write if your not inspired write at your own pace if anything at all. I wish you luck.

And yet it still always feels kinda boring or out of place sometimes somehow, the legends stuff I mean. It’s like, if it’s not the main heroes doing something new and cool then why should I care? Or maybe I just don’t know or care enough about it to put it in the story, or to know how to do it properly so it fits into continuity with both the original story and my story, and with the characters too, and so I don’t do much of anything with it.
