I am reading a book about Goya
In Russian, so "reading" is a bit of a euphemism (have to look up words all the time)
I have experienced a sense of - for lack of a better word - happiness at times
Of connecting with something I can relate with
It's been a while, as a programmer a.o.
What was I thinking?

PS I have so far refused all education, even though the best has been offered to me. A few years I decided that I am going let myself be educated after all, only exclusively in Russian. It's happening, it seems

since you mention Russian primitivism I think of Stravinskij

and is that a way from Goya to Cubism (Picasso)

your development is impressive - almost like a film

I ave some friends educated in Russian in the late sixties - still using it 

and they love this language because of its possibilities of expression

Yes the book is about the direct predecessors of Picasso, Kandinsky, Malevich and others. I do feel a bit troubled about being sucked into this rather "völkisches" Russian hang for folklorism though. Not sure how to interpret it, it's about a lot more than just tourism than for example Dutch folklore, which has nothing to do any more with national identity except for a few far right idiots. And this afternoon I fell asleep and I woke up with the Russian national anthem playing in my mind. Scary..
