There's a weekly program about modern art on TV here. I didn't like it at first because it's extremely apolitical and seems mostly about providing the rich with stuff to show off with, but it appears that almost all art is supposed to be apolitical these days, and besides providing the frich and powerful with stuff to show off with is of all times I guess (it still wouldn't be my own personal approach to what "art" is supposed to be). Anyway, there was this artist who claimed that art is about exploring the boundaries of what people still recognize as art. According to this individual the works of someone like Van Gogh are "uninteresting" because they represent boundaries which have already been explored. I disagree, but who am I?

maybe boundaries explored by others doesn't count, we have to explore them by ourselves. it's like with love, hurting ourselves, getting drunk and growing up. learning about them is useless.
Van Gogh anyway didn't ask for his opinion because he was busy making art

well, just saying, but what do i know
