Just something I wanted to try... the execution isn't the greatest still. I really, really want to learn to use Photoshop and airbrush properly. Well, things'll take time. Till then...Car (Lamborghini Murcielago) was vectored in Adobe Illustrator, background created using Photoshop with the help of cloud brushes.

it's a great idea, but like you said, the execution lacks a bit of quality. first the flare in the sky are too symmetric, they don't look natural. and then the car looks a bit weird. the rear view mirrors look both a bit off, as well as these air intakes behind the side windows. the background is perfect though.

I originally intended on doing this entire thing via Photoshop, all brushing but it's... so... fucking... hard... to... paint with a mouse!

pretty sweet. i think it looks kinda weird having the vector all on top of the pixel stuff. you should try putting some of the smoke or something over the vector so it looks like its more a part of the scene.

Agreed with donbenni, the flares should have been removed.
And the perspective...confuses me. It just seems off.
I like the colors/idea though.

I do really dig this, just how i picture a Lambo - smoking it's way do a sunset-lit road
If i have to crit, the 4 flares in the sky should probably have been removed as they don't look quite right.
