This drawing shows very good how Lyra is feeling. One second ago, there was a generous pony, who gave her a scarf, but then this pony walks away. You can see and feel how Lyra is feeling about it: sad, dissapointed and exhausted. I love the detail of the pink colour on her nose, ear and horn. The shading also looks very good. The ring under her eye also shows how exhausted Lyra is.
Raritys horn is a bit too narrow, but this bothers me just a little bit. It's just a detail, it doesn't effect the drawing much.
This drawing represent the situation in the story very well. You can see that the artist putted a lot of effort in this drawing.

Well designed for the most part. I think the colors, shading and highlights really give this some nice depth. The detail on their hair is quite good as well giving it some texture. That the background has less detail is something that really helps the focus stay on the characters and the emotion of the seen imo. Only a couple that really stand out as 'could have been better; Rare's horn and her gate (I could be mistaken and they've animated them walking like that. if so disregard this quip I'm short for time to watch a clip and correct myself), Lyra's hoodie on the right side seems off the scarf seems to be a bit flat maybe the shading could be slightly darker at the bottom left (ironic I know given its a scarf).
So generally your style is enjoyable, the detail work is excellent where it needs to be, emotion and feeling is conveyed well. I really like this piece.

This is my first critique, so I'll try my best!
There is a lot of expression on Lyra's face, the sadness of her condition, shown through her ears and eyes, which you did a very good job on.
The way you draw magic is very good.
I think Rarity's flank is maybe a little bit overdrawn, if you get what I mean, but it depends on your taste. And I love her tail!
I personally like the background, it is simple and allows us to concentrate on the important parts of the picture.
Great work overall, hope to see more!

This is absolutely awesome! I like how you did the horns, since that's how it will look like if we saw a real unicorn in life ( in my opinion) ! The part that I loved the most was the reddish part in Lyra's horn and snout, it really shows what I imagined in the story!
I really like this art and I think it was one of your pest pieces ( in my opinion)
That background though, I really like it I just can't stand, but look at it all day. This is why I admire you so so much, yay!

Alright, lets try to critique
This piece conveys the emotion here very well with how Lyre is falling into a depression due to her lack of longer lasting friendship.
Good job on showing how Lyre is cold due to her curse that has been has been put upon her.
Good job on the minimalistic shading and how you gave shine to the hair.
The only thing that bothers me is how thin Rarity's horn looks due to how long you made the horn.
There could have been more effort in the background but it's more your still to do it that way and I can respect that.

Slice of Life, is the name of the 100th episode of MLP, where Lyra and Bon Bon were given explicit parts, rather than as just part of the background. And same with the episode 'Mending Fences.'
We were seeing things through TWILIGHT'S EYES, where SHE was treating ponies besides her close friends as interchangeable nobodies... Moon Dancer finally calls her out on this.

Before that episode Time Turner was simply a clock master of sorts, and sometimes a judge at competitions(I think). Bon Bon was a candy maker. That's it. But, to draw fans in they searched internet, and made the brown pony - an alien\geniuse inventor, and curly mane - an undercover agent.

Before this episode the fans liked to think that Time Turner was literally the Doctor whose TARDIS had left him stranded on the pony planet. Now, he has an identity as a quirky inventor, a scientist in a land of magic, that is completely separate from Doctor Who.
And Bon Bon was 'the lesbian marefriend of Lyra, who incidentally is obsessed with the fictional creatures called humans'. Now, just like with Time Turner, she has an identity beyond and different from what the fans gave her. Nobody I know of thought of her as a secret agent before ep 100.
