I think that the art is so cool! I would expect the sisters to be in a rock band if they didn't work on a rock farm! The lighting is great, the art is awesome, everything about it is amazing!! Looks like HAIM has some competition! Now there is just something about this illustration that is just way too perfect. Everything about it just fits so nicely.
Now I love the idea of Pinkie Pie and her sisters forming a rock band. But what I admire even more is which role each mare plays. First you got Limestone as the lead singer. When I first watched "Hearthbreakers", I was a little discomforted by her bitterness, and I have to admit, it turned me off more than it turned me on. But as a lead singer of a rock band, the hostile personality fits. Her demeanor corresponds with the style of the music, giving her an edge. She's got attitude, and she ain't afraid to show it. Next, we have Pinkie, and I gotta say, it fits her flawlessly as well. She's an excitable pony; she has a lot of enthusiasm to showcase when she's shredding that guitar. It emphasizes the activity to a T. Then there's Marble Pie, who surprisingly clicks as a bassist. I don't know why, but I always considered bassists to be the quiet ones, or at least the band members with the least amount of energy. Luckily, that works for her greatly. Lastly, there's Maud. I have to applaud you for making her the drummer. On the surface, she seems like the type who wouldn't be active enough to pound on those drums, but as we've seen in "Maud Pie", she capable of more than we know. Watching her pound those drums into the rock with no expression is hilarious, and serve brilliantly as a comedic aspect of the drawing. All in all, each pony belongs in the right role, and makes you wonder if them putting together a rock band would actually work out.
When you think about it, the concept of the Pie Sisters being a rock group is a pretty easy idea to come up with. However, it is in itself a new idea that many haven't done before, or at least not yet. But again, what makes this feel so fresh is the way in which each mare is presented in their role. The perfection of that aspect alone makes it feel like no one else can do this idea any better; that trying to top it would just be a waste of time. In addition, I also love how you chose to make them punk rock. Well, okay, I'm not entirely sure what genre of rock they're suppose to be, but either way, it fits. Everything from the t-shirts to the piercings, the tattoos, spiky collars and necklaces just seems to emphasize the brashness of the Pie clan.
The way it's drawn is absolutely beautiful. First off, I love the lighting. The way the light beams down onto the mares' manes makes it feel like they're performing on an actual stage. Then there's also the smoke at the bottom of the picture that seems to be ascending, which also gives the impression that it's all a stage performance. The coloring is really good, as well. I love how you kept all the colors so cool. There are no bright, flashy lights to distract us. No, we get to see the four sisters in all of their grey, gratifying glory. It reflects on the lifestyle of these mares; how they live on the farm, and how they express themselves. It perfect here because rock isn't about being all show-offy. It doesn't try to be extravagant by displaying different colors. It's bleak, but in its own creative style, and the demeanor of these mares complements that style in the best way possible. There are also certain details to catch, like how Pinkie Pie's cutie mark is right on her guitar, or Maud's hat from "Maud Pie", or how the logo on Pinkie's shirt matches the exact same one as the one on Maud's drum kit. That's amazing attention to detail. But my undeniably favorite part about the technique is how every mare is placed. Limestone in the front, Maud in the back, Pinkie and Marble on either side. It feels like more than an illustration: it feels like a poster for one of their upcoming concerts. If it is, then somebody tell me where to buy tickets!
I feel energized when I see this poster. Like I said before, Limestone's hostility works here because it's entirely corresponds with the style of the music. Thus, her brash attitude feels more acceptable and tolerable. I also like the way Pinkie's mane waves in the air, like she's rocking her head. That helps me get in the mood, too. As I glance over the setup of this concert, I just get more and more pumped to see it. My body is building with anticipation, and I'm closer to bursting every second I don't get to see this performance. It looks epic, it feels epic, it sounds epic, you just get nothing but epicness from this drawing.

It´s a bit softer than the rest, and Maud worked on it mostly without the rest of her sisters, but with help from her new boyfriend.
Sax Sells, on the other hand, was a collaboration between Pinkie and an unknown artist, who came up with the titles for the songs on the album. Some claim it was one of her sisters who wanted to remain anonymous, and most people think it was Marble. Other voices say it was Cheese Sandwich, but noone is sure. It also has a couple songs with influences from Yak culture in it.
