I like the detail of the tiny glasses. It really seals the whole marine moster thing

Love the designs, they look amazing. The second one, for some reason, looks like a creature you would see in the game subnautica.
And that's a good thing.

Woah, this looks like it could be a critter or miniboss for Megamare X !
... any news on that, by the way?

Methinks this one is a predator pony.
Those teeth don't belong to a seaweed-muncher.

Differently fits the skim of a Anglerfish.

I really like the overall mix of anatomies on display. The seahorse body (obligatory) combined with the anglerfish lure, eel-like tail, and the fairly unique finned forelegs.

The forelegs remind me of Takadox from the Barraki, who is based on a mantis. With the andlgerfish lure and the overall body shape of a graceful yet weak creature, I think that whatever gets on this ponyΒ΄s bad side is fish food.

Agreed, very well thought-out and unique.

Ok, two things:
1. Why is it that the most common pony hybrid seems to be fish?
2. Why does every sea pony look so much more badass than my OCs? (Ok, perhaps I should get my OCs drawn before asking this, but every time I see a sea pony, I ask myself "Dude, why didnΒ΄t you think of something at least half as awesome as this?")

Why is it that the most common pony hybrid seems to be fish? Shoo-be-doo! Shoo-shoo-be-doo!

Somehow I get the feeling this is supposed to ring any bells...
Anyway, whatΒ΄s wrong with snakes? I mean, I couldΒ΄ve gone with snake ponies myself, but my fanfiction takes place in the water, and snakes canΒ΄t breathe under water.
One more thing: Would you like checking out my mlp fanfiction My Little Creeps From The Deeps? It takes place 2000 years after the show, and it is quite nice, if I may say so myself.
You can find it in my gallery, where each chapter has its own folder.

Somehow I get the feeling this is supposed to ring any bells... Proper sea ponies featured prominently in earlier generations. The "Shoo-be-doo! Shoo-shoo-be-doo!" bit was from their trademark song.

Ah, ok. Makes sense, I guess.

Also, according to Greek mythology, horse were made by Poseidon as a competitive gift for Athens, hence, the fishy hybrid.
