I may not be a professional or whatnot on the art, but I do have an opinion.
I like the statements of some other people saying futuristic ponies are rare, I don't know why though, oh well.
But oh man, this artwork is stunning, all the details!
In the background alone I can clearly tell that whatever city they're in (possibly even Ponyville!) is no longer 19th century looking and technology is way beyond the 21st now I think too!
Octavia does feel out of place in this world, but that would make sense since no world no matter how good is ever perfect and not everypony can fit in perfectly which ironically makes a near perfect "perfect" world.
Vinyl feels like a part of the world and the two ponies really contrast each other, I might mistake Vinyl for a robot and Octavia for a person with a REALLY nice outfit and future stuff, but that's it.
Even the way Vinyl walks are subtly hinted at, Octavia is straight, regal, but Vinyl is trying to be seductive (I think), but I bet if we could see her move, she would be robotic, I just FEEL that way about this just from the positions of her legs!

you may not rember why you made this, but I can tell you whatever idea made you do it was a good one. its very rare to actuly see futuristic ponies done well. I love how vinyl has gone full cyborg. I fell Octavia's chello could have used more work, but you still got them right, Octavia would still clearly be a pony in the futer, vinal on the other hoof you could forgive someone for mistaking her as a robot, that would probably get anoing for her but I'm getting off track, long story short you did very well

First off, I love the colours in this! They contrast well against each other! The pose looks great, too! I feel like there is a bit too much shading, but other than that, the shading is great.

This is a great piece of art. The technique is great and it really brings the picture to life and makes the characters look real and not like emotionless dolls. But, even is almost perfect things like these, there are going to be cons. Now I am not an artist myself, but I do know somethings. I think that this art is too.... pointy, in a way this is a good thing, but it can also be bad. Its also way to rounded, like a bowling ball. Other than that, I love it! It looks really nice. I love it!
