As with your other piece I critiqued I find the colors to convey the mood of this piece beautifully. The cool blues mixed with the dead grays of the skin bring out that kind of zombie like or demon like feel. That being said your strong points are there as with the last one, however the weaknesses seem to be the same. The anatomy of the piece is a bit poorly constructed and though you are showing form with your shading it looks off because you don't quite understand how it really should be displayed. I can suggest something that was suggested to me for anatomy. That is to get an anatomy book of your choice. For me I was recommended George Bridgman's: Bridgman's complete guide to drawing from life. Go through and draw every image while critically analyzing the form and the function of the body parts. Just one go through for me vastly improved me knowledge on it so I hope it helps you as well!

SO first of all, I'm going to need you to tell me your secrets in getting such an amazing texture into your paintings! I am truly astounded (and jealous) of your ability to pull that off in this particular painting especially. I love the contrast between the bright blues and turquoise colors against the figure's colorless body, but how the body also shows a subtle reflection of those colors. I think it makes it very nice to look at and also pulls some variety into the figure itself. I love his pose. To me, it reminds me of when a zombie gets up out of his grave in the cemetery to chase some meddling kids, not sure if that was intentional but it works very well! You did a great job on this e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Great pic. The pose reminds me of the Machinist.

Interesting. I take it your inspiration was C.Bale in The Machinist?
Cool

The malnourished look + the pale complexion + the ambiguous wings really gives chills to the viewer. The background color is a nice choice

I can't stop looking at this. I think you captured the spirit of it all, thinking of the movie, this reminds me more of the character's inner plight than of the actual image. This is better than just reproducing a picture, you reproduced a fractured state of mind.

Very cool rendition of the original still. I got it right away.
