where do U came from if i can ask? I often travelled only with sleepbag (and slept in cities in various more or less `hidden` places like some kind of homeless, never happen anything wrong to me but sometimes i did not felt too much safer but i take it as adventure/adrenalin - i get sometimes very interesting experiences. In last years situation get slightly worse, more homeless and especialy junkies which iam afraid of coz U never know because they often do not think like normal people and they can do anything to get many for drugs). And of course - travelling as girl alone is not much safe. But if U sleep in hotels etc. and walking only in normal places at day, U do not have to worry. Its still very safe in most countries of Europe.

I live in the central region of California.
I know my mom traveled like that (and my dad) when she was a little younger than me. Sometimes alone, but mostly I think she'd have a companion — she stayed in hostels, and I think once in a graveyard xD.
When my brother went to NZ I know he'd sleep under the stars like it sounds you do. I don't know if I'd be as comfortable to do that .. Most definitely not alone, and the only person I've managed to find to be a traveling companion is used to hotels (I'm totally fine staying in hostels).
The first real trip I did in Canada my mom and I stayed in hostels, and it was a fun experience.
It's nice that Euro is still pretty safe, but I don't think I'd trust myself to travel solo. And of course my brother refuses to travel anywhere with his little sister..
It's a shame so many get lost in drugs, I most definitely would not want to be around them as it truly does destroy their minds.

sweet sunny California (and great wines too
Sleeping on graveyeard is best (calm and safe)
Hotels are fine, but depends on nature of man. My best experiences goes from sleeping under stars and alone in foreign country, no car. You get to know yourself better, your capabilities, and its most intensive travelling - just travelling in its pure form. And i was happy to shake off some kilos of bodyweight (get back at home soon
)
Of course, this is demanding, but its real raw life. More hard would be without (or only with small) amount of money
For me - 14 days of such intensive travelling and then i have enough (started to miss friend to talk in native language), and of course i slept 2 nights in normal bed to get properly refreshed and wash myself
NZ is amazing - my friend were there for 4 months.
Who is weak and/or have bad childhood (parents)=fall easily into alco/drugs/slots machines... its a lot of temptation in life...
I saw great hotels when shooting them but this is probably best in our country - (situated in our beatiful capitol city Prague) - see this (and its not so expensive on booking.com)
www.hotel-paris.cz/cs/luxusni-…
In our country U could really easily and safe travelling even alone just like many other foreign girls do (even those without even basic english or our native czech language - for example from South Korea). And our country is small with info office in every city and basic english is no problem here at all.

Heh, yeah— though winter has come, so it's getting pretty cold. Was raining just two days ago.
I think that was her reasoning, not many people hang out in graveyards.
Yeah, it sounds nice! But fear holds me back from that kind of experience. It's been a while since I've slept under the stars. At home I wish I could, but there are many bugs that like to annoy you here (not to mention my cat just got skunked tonight), and there has been a bear loitering about too xD
I could stand to lose some weight myself, haha. I think camping is as close as I'm comfortable with at the moment, but it still needs to be sort of planned.
Yes. I also don't have the starting funds for it — I've yet to have a job .. But I know traveling light you can do a lot on a little.
Nice heh! I think the longest I've stayed in a tent without a shower was 8 night during our Kilimanjaro trek, and that was amazing!
I hear WWOOFing is big in NZ, but again, I just don't have the mentality for that kind of spontaneity. My brother spent 3 months in NZ. I know my mom lived there for a short bit in her youth as well. It looks so beautiful (and the home of so many fantasy films).
Yeah =[ .. Plus the peer pressure for it in western culture is pretty terrible, at least in the states.
Ah, wow. That place has some pretty unique interior architecture! I'll pass the link to my brother— I think he plans to go to Prague.
Well, it would be pretty amazing! I will definitely be adding it to my list of places to go !
