~~ Dread Knight ~~

The warriors were known as Dread Knights. Ancient warriors of times lost to the pages of history. Every one of them at one point were a proud and noble knight that was praised for his heroics. And every one of them had fallen from the light, being seduced by the nightmare that hid itself in the shadows of the world. Swearing new oaths to their dark Lords that ruled the shadows of the world.

A small part of their soul remains in their shells of hatred, loathing what they have become; disgraced and dishonoured. If not for the oaths to their Dark Lords, the Dread Knights would have killed them off years ago; but, the oaths that they swore have bound their souls to their masters. To break them, the Dread Knights would be lost forever to the depths of Hades, to suffer a fate far worse than the life that they have come to hate. It was fear that controlled them and fear that bound them.

The ages had weighed heavy on their armour; with countless seasons etched deep with rust and the decay of blood and gore from their victims that had never been cleaned. Their bodies had also decayed over time. Grotesque and twisted with corruption, tooth and bone has grown out from bodies and into their armour, caging and trapping them forever, never able to look upon themselves.
