Lo and behold, here is a brand-new oeuvre d'art from yours truly. I present to you my ESS (Equine Secret Santa) for the year 2012.

My recipient this year is *RidingInLongSocks , who requested a picture of Myrant, an OC stallion who was born blind, hence the weird blue eyes. I realized too late that he had no tail, so I just made his tail super-duper-short. Here's the full story, for you curious little monkeys: [link]

I hope it turned out okay. At least I got my entry done at the appointed time, for once. I think it helped that I used my tablet for this, and I forced myself to not be quite so picky about the lineart. I think the broad, sweeping strokes turned out rather nicely, don't you? As for those "dots" that surround the character, all I used was the soft brush and a very light shade of blue.
