Description
”And what might your name be?”“Alexander.”
“Hmmm. So you can talk.”
“Y-yes, sir. I wanna go home to my mama!”
“Take him back! He can still talk!”
“Please, please! I don’t want to be a donkey! Let me outta here!”
“QUIET! You boys have had your fun; now pay for it!”
I feel bad for those poor kids turned donkeys. I always wondered what happened to them. So far as we know, Pinocchio is the only one to really get away.

Still, that is pretty harsh.

Yeah, but they probably were warned of the consequences of their actions. And in not litsening, they made a jackass out themselves. Literally.

Still, we're not the ones to make that final judgment. We're far from perfect saints ourselves.

Yeah I know. I'm sure they we're good, but because of peer pressure it let to thme being in this situation. By the voice of Alexander he seems to have fallen into peer pressure. I was thinking, what if he fake braying like a donkey? Once they think he's become full donkey he will be sent to who know where and he can warn someone about him and others.

I think they would have noticed his fake braying. I have a feeling the Coachman has been in the business long enough to know the difference.

Oh. Well I find it awkward that it ended with Pinocchio becoming a real boy, but the real truth is that there's a man still stealing bad boys in the middle of the night and turning them into donkeys and sold to circuses, farms, and salt mines never to see their families again. And he's making a fortune in his business. How is he not stop?

Kinda, but a lesser intelligent person maybe confused. Maybe if you said Gotta finish the second story first. It would sound more proper.

I think I figured out another reason why this thirty second bit was so effective: Like Pinocchio, this wasn't a bad kid (You won't see too many delinquents wearing THAT), but probably some poor unsuspecting dope who listened to the wrong people, made a bad decision, and paid a hideous price for it. (Doesn't hurt that he shares a VA with Pinocchio) And it shows that whatever spell or curse or whatever's up with Pleasure Island, it clearly doesn't discriminate; if you act up there, you WILL start to change. You wouldn't even have to be THAT bad of a kid; notice Jiminy didn't start double-timing it back to that pool hall until this point; sure he'd probably put 2+2 together on what had happened, but once THIS unfolded before him, THAT is what prompted the cricket to run back as fast as his little legs could carry him.

Once again, this is just another testament to Pinocchio's staying power. That a cartoon from almost 73 years ago continues to stick in our minds, frequently in the dark recesses where nightmares spawn from, just shows how good Disney's studio was at making these things.

In the old fairy tale, some of the donkeys who drew the carriage were once boys.
After they had gone another mile, Pinocchio heard the same little low voice saying to him:
"Bear it in mind, simpleton! Boys who refuse to study and turn their backs upon books, schools and masters, to pass their time in play and amusement, sooner or later come to a bad end. I know it by experience, and I can tell you. A day will come when you will weep as I am weeping now, but then it will be too late!"
On hearing these words whispered very softly, the puppet, more frightened than ever, sprang down from the back of his donkey and went and took hold of his mouth.
Imagine his surprise when he found that the donkey was crying—crying like a boy!
