Description
”And what might your name be?”“Alexander.”
“Hmmm. So you can talk.”
“Y-yes, sir. I wanna go home to my mama!”
“Take him back! He can still talk!”
“Please, please! I don’t want to be a donkey! Let me outta here!”
“QUIET! You boys have had your fun; now pay for it!”
I feel bad for those poor kids turned donkeys. I always wondered what happened to them. So far as we know, Pinocchio is the only one to really get away.

This was the first time I've drawn Alexander. Ever.

Not bad for a first try, if I do say so myself.

Same. Love the clothes and the little ... "highlight" in his eyes.

I'm getting into the habit of making my eyes all shiny.

Me too. I use to make the iris huge, but now it's the pupil. I'm still experimenting with my style.

And I almost always have a white dot in the pupil. The eye somehow seems dull and lifeless without it.

Yep. For me, if I have a blind horse, I usually leave out the white dot.
They're usually a cold-hearted stallion/mare for me. Unlike *Wild-Hearts , Jack.

To give the eye that special "glow", I use two different shades of the same color and the gradient tool.

Unfortunately, I gotta say that whole scene's kinda disappointing for me at least. I mean, he's right there at the start of the level, and I don't think he can even hurt Pinocchio. I'd have at least relished the chance to take him out in an end-level boss fight.
Just picture it: Pinocchio flees the island, frees as many donkeys as he can, scales the back of the island, and only then do you get to throw the Coachman off a cliff.

I don't know if he really dies, but we get the satisfaction of seeing him defeated that we don't get in the movie.

Well like the article says, if a Villain falls off a cliff or some other high point, there is a good chance he ain't coming back.

The problem with that is that it gives him the easy way out. He doesn't have to face any of his victims or their families. Sure, it would be satisfying to hit him so hard that it was scatter his molecules from here to Andromeda, it would also deny all of these boys and their families a chance at seeing him face justice for what he's done.

Alexander was the cutest donkey boy. I too felt so sorry for those boys TT~TT
Many on you tube say that when Pinocchio's friend (the one who made fun of Jiminy) turned into a donkey was the scariest part of the movie

Lampwick. He was called Candlewick in the original fairy tale. Yeah, that scene is quite freaky.
"What's he think I look like? A jackass?"
"You sure do! Ha-ha-ha-haww-hee-hawww!"
"Hey, you laugh like a donkey! Ha-ha-ha-heeeeee-haaawwwwwww! Did that come outta me?"
Nobody's laughing after that!
