Aww, a little comfort is exactly what both of these two need right now. Somehow, I can see this crossover working: Pinocchio lost and alone in the world and Hector is barely remembered. And yet, they found each other. And since Hector was taken from his family through treachery, it makes sense he'd run to the aid of a child in need. The colors make the world look so dark and cruel, but as it's said in (Disney's!) Kingdom Hearts, "Even in the deepest darkness, there will always be a light to guide you."

Oh, yes, they have both been in a very dark place and so it makes almost perfect sense that they'd confide in one another.
And Hector has always appeared to be a "friend to children," hence how caring he was toward Miguel even before they discovered that they were related. Even after finding out the awful truth about his own death, he still took time to calm Miguel down when Miguel fell to pieces over his argument with his family and how he (Miguel) honestly believed he was related to a murderous phony. That's one of the many reasons why that hug scene resonates with me so much.
Beowulf would have done something like that. He takes time to calm Reid down when Reid falls apart over the issues with his own family.

I said it before and I’ll say it again; I cannot thank you and Senshee enough for doing this for me. It looks incredibly beautiful and the emotion and expressions on the characters’ faces are phenomenal.
For someone who claims she can’t draw Héctor very well, you got him down perfectly. I will definitely ask you permission if I can use it as an illustration when I get the internet on my computer back.
And another thing, this picture really shows how much of a brotherly/grandfather and grandson relationship Pinocchio and Héctor have in my stories. He really goes out of his way to give him the same affection he pours onto Miguel and his beloved Coco; regardless of the fact the characters are not related and he isn’t his child.
