Description

I'll tell you, frosting cookies is not as easy as it sounds. Icing is incredibly tricky to work with. I tried chilling the blue icing in the fridge for a few minutes before I put the black stuff on, but even then, the black was pretty runny and I had to leave everything on a flat surface overnight. I meant to put a smile on everything, but some of those mouths sort of morphed into screaming mouths on their own.

These aren't all the cookies I made, but these are the nicest ones I set aside for tonight's party. Then I shared some of the less-nice-looking ones with my family, and I took the rest with me to work this morning as a sort of Halloween treat for everybody.

At least they tasted good, and that's what counts. And this was still a fun little project, like artwork you can eat. I had the whole house to myself most of the night, and I played some Halloween tunes while I worked.
