Please ! I appreciate every comment and +fav!
I have a Japanese Cherry in my garden...
That´s why I wanted to draw something with it! And, of course with a dragon! Enjoy!
It took me absolutely ages, I'm really proud of the details. I hope you share my enthusiasm

Aww thanks!
If you want me to, I could try to put a dramatic cherry Tree into your picture. With flying blossoms, some pink highlights and black shadows. Would you like that?
It would be a nice challenge to me.

Tu trouves "Miracle" (l´image avec le grand dragon blanc et la mer) mieux que "Alive"?

Hi!~
I'm here with ProjectComment to offer some constructive critique, if you're open to it! >u<
I have to say, I love this piece! It's such a beautiful dragon, and the variety of colours on and around it is really pretty! I also love the angle, and the fish and the bottom, and dang! Those trees! Really beautiful!
To be perfectly honest, there's really not much criticism I could give. If I have to nitpick, though, I would just say that some of the dragon and the hummingbird's colours could reflect on one another just to create that sense of unity. And also, there doesn't seem to be any definitive light source. Your shading itself is very good, but for example if the light source is from the left, add more lighter tones to the left of everything in the positive atmosphere.
Keep up the good work!~

Hello, thank you so much!!!
I totally agree to what you say about the light source. I´ll try to do it right in my next picture. in this picture, there´s just no clear source, and therefore no interesting shadows and stuff.
Light is such a heavy effect which can put so much thrill into a picture.
Also the idea with the reflection is great!
Aww Thank you for your critique!

Hi! This is a comment from !
I like this piece very much! The concept of the dragon standing in water is really cool and also the fish and sea creatures are a really nice touch to it! The work is amazingly detailed and has a feeling of an oil painting somehow. There is not much to critique about the anatomy, as far as I see, it looks good! The use of colors are very good, it creates a happy atmosphere for the picture. There are things to improve on, though, the pink of the cherry tree could be a bit less saturated because it seems to be far away and should fade in the background. Also the birds sitting on the cherry tree are too detailed, you could not see the markings of the little birds from this far away as they are.
There are things that seem nuances, but still... it looks like the hummingbird (or kingfisher) and the dragon are not related by color. Some orange of the birds feather should reflect on the dragon and also the dragon's color should reflect on the bird a bit. When you made the water, you did not take into count that the water has some distortion effect. You just drew a line and under it you colored with a different tone, indicating the murky water but some nice distortion effects would have been a plus. There are some of them in Photoshop, but you could mess around with the warp tool. I like the striped spiky fish very much (I don't know its name but I vaguely remember from some documentary that it's actually toxic) and the light effect under the water. I think this picture could have been more elaborated, you did it with only sketchy lines as it was not forethought, just some doodle that you elaborated later a bit more. Judging from the spiky fish, you could have used a bit more time and refine this - otherwise epic - piece. I hope my comment was helpful in some way, keep up the good work!

Oh my goodness, this is a huge comment! Thank you so much!!!
I´m so glad you like the picture!
Your critique is very helpful for me. Your idea to make the kingfisher´s colors reflect on the dragon is very nice, I´ll think about doing that in future.
I´ll keep a look on the distortion effects you mentioned. I believe too the water looks so plain and boring, it definitely needs more effect in future pictures ^^
The fish you like so much is a firefish It´s my fave fish! I just wanted to put it into that fantasy picture.
I see what you mean, it isn´t as detailed as it could be, but I have to admit that I´m so busy with school that I sometimes just leave the picture like it is when it´s finished ^^ But I go into more details in my next picture. I try out a snake-like dragon design, so I have to draw every single scale. also I have to draw water again, so I´ll try to apply your tip with the water distortion.
Thank you very much for your critique! Was very helpful!

You're welcome, I'm glad my comment was helpful for you! Well, sometimes I also forget reflection effect but I try to remember what I was told by my art teacher when I was going to take some lessons
Also remember that brighter colors reflect more than blunt colors ^^ I am also not quite good in making effects, I am just trying them myself and experimenting.
I would never have enough patience to draw a scaley creature so detailed... I am always amazed at people who can do this!

Yeah, water is one of the hardest things on earth to draw! Becau can´t really sketch it. It is a little like a mirror, and that makes it so hard.
Aww thank you so much, it means much to me!

Heeyy!!
this is an amazing piece, i like how you
included the underwater area as well.
the look of the dragon may look a little
more fake that perhaps the fish but
it's still VERY good.
The clouds and the cherry leaves look
a little too similar i think, they still look
nice though, so don't worry XD

Oh, wow, this is a beautiful drawing! I love how real the dragon looks, and kingfishers are one of my favorite types of bird, so I love seeing them in drawings! The betta looks a bit lost with the saltwater fish , (though maybe they can be transferred to saltwater like I've heard people have done with guppies; I really have no idea), but otherwise everything else is perfect! Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see more from you!

I think this looks really awesome!
but I do think it is a little out of place. it seens like ti would make more sense for the cherry blossoms to grow im more of a grassy area than a sandy area.
other than that, this is amazing!
