Awww...I just love Doc's expressions in these! Even in these sketches, which are very simple, Doc's face is still full of emotion and personality. In the top left, I can tell he is happy. In the centre, I can tell he is content and perhaps even slightly curious about something. In the bottom left, I can tell he is depressed and in the bottom centre I can tell he is very stern. And I love the last one where he's got his butte stuck in the air and all he says is "no comment." XD I also love his face in the centre-right, where he's dipping his tyre in something. I just love the curious, childlike look in his eyes--even though the eyes are not detailed, they are still full of personality.
These sketches are adorable, so much so that I wish I could print a copy to put in my journal to look at whenever I need something to cheer me up, or just because I want too. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Thank you so very much You are amazing.
I really thought about what expressions I want to give him, and it's great to see that you totally got all of them right, because that means I succeeded at it. I wanted to make it hilarious and succeeded, thanks so much

You're welcome! You have done an amazing job on his expressions! It's not an easy thing to do, especially on inanimate objects such as cars. Yet you've totally captured it! That's a big feat.

Aww thanks!!
There aren't too many Doc sketches in the third book, but some great fully-painted pictures So for really awesome Doc sketches, I would recommend book 1

Awesome! I've actually got both the Art of Cars and the Art of Cars 2. The art in there is just so amazing! Even the simplest sketches have got so much story behind them! I just loved looking at the old character ideas and story scenes!
It really helped me to deeper appreciate the series and all of the work they put into it.

They're really worth buying. I've got luck to get the 1st book used for only 10 dollars/8 euros, and now it's only available for 40 in used condition ^^

Holy moly! I got mine as Christmas gifts, so I got no idea what they cost. I heard they're pretty expensive though.Β I'm scared to know how much the Art of Cars 3 is going to cost! Β

As the first book is more of an antique book now, it is hard to get that one today, but the regular price isn't too high. It's less than 30 euros, maybe 24 or such. You gotta look up in the Internet how much that is in dollars.

All right, I looked up the prices for each one. The Art of Cars is ranging from about $18-$30, The Art of Cars 2 is ranging from $16 to $23 and the Art of Cars 3 is ranging from $17 to $30. $30 is a little steep, but worth it for the books. Hopefully it won't break my parents' banks when I ask for it for Christmas. Β
