Description
A full body shot of my newly customized and repainted Megatron. Spraypainted metallic, then all deep spots filled with black paint, then lots of drybrushing with silver and dark gunmetal for that worn old badass look. I made a removable neck for Megatron with 2 part epoxy sculpt that snaps into place, and used my dremel tool to make it possible for his head to connect to the neck and be turnable. I also dremeled his forearms, shaving down the plastic so his arms could bend more at the elbows, because they bearely bent at all before.
I took his arm cannon apart, and removed the screw, then used the 2 part epoxy to make the slider harder to move so his gun stays in place well whether it is retracted or out.
I removed the big clunky jet mode parts that were hanging off Megatron's arms too. They just snap out of socket, and go right back on for Jet mode. I used a necklace clip on the mace attachment string so it can be reattached at any time. I give the credit to Jin Saotome for most of these mod ideas. Thanks Jin!! He's the best customizer around, and an amazing toy repainter, but as pretty as his repaint jobs are, he dosen't seem to go for movie accuracy. I freeze framed the movie in several spots to ensure that I got the gold details as correct as possible. Hope yall enjoy!
