I repainted the NECA Caesar's face, hands, and some of his fur to get rid of the tribal paint and give him his green eyes and a bit more realism.I liked the tribal paint too, but he is more often seen in the movies without it, plus I didn't care for the black eyes and black around his eyes. Felt the figure would show more character this way.
The NECA Caesar figure from the first movie didn't have the tribal markings but I don't care for the screaming face on that version.

This looks much better than the later released Caesar with that distracting line around his open jaw.

You mean the new movies altogether or the latest one?
I saw the first original movie as a kid and didn't care for it. It was already old and cheesy to me then, and I'm 40 now.
I didn't expect much from the new movies but ended up loving both of them and I'm excited to see the new one.

Lol it was all computer graphics over motion capture and voice actors.
If you mean them looking so realistic, I guarantee the apes in the original old movies would have had body types more like real apes if they could have possibly done that. I doubt they were going for a 'people in rubber masks' look.
Either way, I love the new movies. They have a very intense and believable feel to them. If they had "ruined" anything, they wouldn't be about to release the 3rd one of an extremely successful series of movies. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion though.
