Description
Looking through the comments on a youtube video by Bobby Skullface about the upcoming 3rd party Arcee figures, I saw the same dumb arguments come up about how offensive Arcee's design is, and naturally it went to how the Fansproject Comera Female dinobot raptor is so SOOO so offensively sexualized. It kind of set me off. I just don't see it.The SJW feminist butt-kisser types keep saying it is sexualized because curves, lips, a bra, thong, garter belt and stockings, and high heels. Not only do I not see that at all, but they seem to ignore that the other dinobots have very male shapes in bot mode, and (if we choose to look at color placement as clothing) the appearance of wearing man-panties, wrestling onesies, and tank tops. Not to mention the other 193 transformers who have color patterns like underwear, gloves and boots (hello Megatron) and the fact that most of the fem-bots have colors that could be looked at as a halter tops and panties!
Do a google image search for "The Dinobots". The very first 3 pictures of the G1 dinobots that come up for me have giant cock box protrusions, like most modern art of most male bots do. Nobody cares.
The way I see it is more like Batman, Superman, and most other superheroes. Full body suits with colors or underwear type stuff over them. No, wait... honestly I never saw any of them as wearing clothing at all until this crap started coming up. Apparently now it is even offensive sexualization for female toy robots to be in cute feminine poses. Huh?!
In Comera's case, yes I do realize that like Blackarachnia and Windblade, she has round boobie shapes (OMG RUN!) and the colors indicate a corset style look. Everything else just looks like stylish color designs and she sure doesn't have heels. But really, who cares? Why do they feel such a strong need to try and make others feel morally wrong for how adult collectible action figures look anyway?
So even though I am busy as heck in the middle of a move, I took an hour and 20 minutes out of my day to do this quick pen drawing, take a pic of it, and color it quick and sloppy in photoshop.
Now I have said my piece on that.

last night I was transforming my Comera when the right foot snapped off because the ball joint was too tight, I contacted fansproject about this but I was wondering if you know if they send replacement parts or something.

I got it from BBTS, as to when I got it...I don't quite remember but I could find out by looking up when I posted my review video of her on youtube.Β Did you have problems with really tight ball joints in her ankles or was this just mine?

must just be mine then, the funny thing is it wasn't always that way, when I first got her they were fine, and then a couple days ago I'm trying to transform her and SNAP, the foot comes off!Β The Ball joint embedded in the ankle was so hard in there I could barely move it with my fingers and it made a hard creaking sound when it did.Β I would be satisfied if the company would just send me a replacement leg because I hate to abandon figures that have been on display in my room for months.

Well you see, beautiful females are offensive and their bodies must remain hidden, she needs to be remade with some sort of body covering...like a burka, in the name of feminism of course.
I like how they all praised Strongarm for being the first fembot with out sexy curves, none of them even knew about Strika or what's her face from the Speed Planet.
More on topic, I got both her and her sister and they don't have to even transform the boobs, you can go with the flip side that looks like turbines and it looks kind of cool too.

I will clarify, if this was being sold to kids the g-string would be inappropriate. Good thing it's not.
π: 0 β©: 1
Unicron9 In reply to NovDecJan [2017-07-12 01:32:16 +0000 UTC]
There is no G-string. Its a stretch to even see it that way, but I can still see how one might see that. The red waist design just comes to a point on the crotch front. A G-string would cover the full bikini zone up front and be a string up the butt. This figure has no string up her butt. The design stops at that point, and if that point was meant to signify panties it would be floss literally in between the vagina sides. That would be totally absurdly inappropriate, which is why I don't at all think that was what the designer was going for.
I may paint the whole crotch front on mine red though just to remove that iffy looking design altogether. Its the ONLY thing about this figure I think could possibly be taken as a bit pervy looking.

NovDecJan In reply to Unicron9 [2017-07-12 01:35:39 +0000 UTC]
...I think it was meant to look like that, I would be surprised if it wasn't honestly. In the end it's a toy for adults so either way it doesn't matter, it isn't hurting anyone, well the sharp points on the toy have poked me a few times.
π: 0 β©: 1
Unicron9 In reply to NovDecJan [2017-07-12 03:19:10 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, for adults, but definitely meant to go with the other dinobots as a female dinobot, not a porn star dinobot. If they were going for floss between her vag, why not have robo-nipple protrusions and a red line going up her butt too? It doesn't fit the design for that to intentionally be a vagina floss, or even a thong. I think it is exactly what it is- a red design coming to a point that ended up coming off looking a bit questionable.
I don't deny they went for a tiny little bit of sex appeal, but I think people are seeing it as a bit more extreme than it was intended to be.
Unless the designer comes forward and explains their idea on the color placements and designs, we will never really know and it is up to how one chooses to see it.

Altitron In reply to Unicron9 [2017-07-11 11:48:22 +0000 UTC]
I know you didn't, I just mean that some of those paint apps are questionable. Like the red 'panties' makes her look like she's got a camel toe. I don't mind the boobs myself but they probably could have been painted a bit differently so that it didn't look like she was wearing a corset and rather armor, like an Transformer should.
π: 0 β©: 1
Unicron9 In reply to Altitron [2017-07-11 21:43:34 +0000 UTC]
Yeah I wish they hadn't put the red point at the bottom of the red paint on her hips/crotch, just because so many people see it as a camel toe. I do see how it can be seen that way. I might paint that whole part a solid red.
I think her corset look is cool personally, but who knows, I might have liked some other design better if it had been done differently. Keep in mind most transformer fem-bots do have some kind of skimpy top color placement.

Let them complain, in some rare cases it'll only entice people to buy it more to spite the naysayers, plus... IT'S FORΒ ADULT COLLECTORS, it's not like they're gonna be sold to young kids; it's for older people who want to have the satisfaction of MP sized/ non-Hasbro figurines. Plus if you are wasting your time to complain about how a hunk of plastic is 'offensive'Β to you, then get a real life.

Cool, she's a raptor? Β It'll be funny if it turns out the original designer for her is a woman or a male feminist.

Unicron9 In reply to Shark-Demon [2017-07-11 04:56:25 +0000 UTC]
Extremely unlikely on the male feminist thing because they are usually just ass-kissers ignoring reality to get brownie points with the ladies shouting from their moral high ground podium. Could very well be a woman designer though. My wife loves Comera. She was glad to see a tough looking raptor female dinobot to add to the dinos. Grimlock is still her favorite though. Maybe because of his huge cod-piece nobody bitches and whines about.

Well the only one I ever saw with big boobs was Blackarachnia. While I did like her character, I also did think that was a bit ridiculous too. Just having a bit of a chest angle or round protrusions on the chest and some slight curves is no more sexualizing than the guys having broad chests and big arms and shoulders with small waists.
They have always had human physiques, and it is a hypocritical double standard to act like that should only work one way. By that logic, or if they need to be super realistic as alien machines for some reason, they might as well just all have the physiques and no-sex voices of the goofy little battle droids from the Star Wars clone wars stuff.
Transformers are like any other superhero type thing- created for fun, not stupid agendas and shitting on people by claiming some moral high ground and pointing fingers over make-believe robot physiques.

Yeah if Wonder Woman isn't offensive, considering what all is, that's some funny picking and choosing what to be offended by right there.
I never cared much about WW but I did think the new movie was pretty good. To be written and directed by women I was happy to see it didn't really push any feminist agenda stuff on the viewers either.
It showed well that females can make superheroes as good or better than males can, which I already knew, but cool they pulled it off so well.

ashuramarsh In reply to Unicron9 [2017-09-17 02:55:18 +0000 UTC]
Actually they did find Wonder Woman offensive and had her removed from the U.N. as a representative of the empowerment of women; or some such, I know it was an imaginary title, but one taken up with good cause and intent, but the SJWs just saw a sexualized woman.
The new movie for WW was good, there were a couple points mentioned that could have been pushing an agenda, but it was only like a line or two and that was it.

Someone remember Override from TFCybertron? The design is not sexual. She (or he in Galaxy Force) is my favourite Fembot (I know that in Galaxy Force is a man but I grown up with the female) because she wasn't sexualized. Arcee from TFPrime....well, we know that she is so sexualized and Slipstream too. The people want sexy fembots and I don't like that because that ruins the character. Thank god Override is not sexualized. If she have that pictures, is with another design because...she doesn't have boobs.
π: 0 β©: 1
Unicron9 In reply to lamota43 [2017-07-10 22:25:06 +0000 UTC]
I didn't like TFCybertron enough to watch much of it but I remember Override. Beast Wars Airazor wasn't very female looking either and was also a male in the Japanese show. I had to hear Airazor's voice to know she was a female. Nothing wrong with that, and I liked her character, but I liked Blackarachnia's sassy smart character WAY more than Airazor.
These are toys and cartoon characters. Its a story about alien robots that come to earth and take on earth features, cultures, voices, and stereotypical personality types. The males generally look very male with broad chests, large arms, and are usually very macho-manly acting.
Can you give me one single reason the females shouldn't be just as female in looks as the males are male? Sexualized and being distinctly male or female are 2 vastly different things.
There is NOTHING AT ALL remotely sexualized about TF Prime Arcee or Slipstream. We definitely do not all know that. That's f*cking ridiculous.
Good example though of how some think a female looking female equals "sexualized". People's minds are polluted with nonsense.

In Beast Machines when i saw Strika i thought: "That's a strong man" but that was a female. Strika is the female that i think is more male than female. Another thing: when my little brother saw Starscream from TFPrime he said: Who is she? And I said: That's Starscream. And he said: But he looks like a girl.
