I bought and painted the ROTF Optimus for two things. To power up with Jetfire parts, and to kill the Fallen.I made most of the gray metallic silver, added fire, gold details, and some burns and scrapes too.
Some parts, such as the pipes, grill, and sidestep are now chrome. I like this Testors chrome spray!

By the way, this is sort of off-topic, but you may know. I need a good, simple, affordable toon-accurate head for my Classics Cliffjumper. Know where to find one? I tried customizing an old Classics Jetfire head. It's the right shape, size, scowl, etc... but it's too big to fit properly, and interferes with his transformation...

Closest thing I could come up with would be Classics Bumblebee's head.

....uhm..... Classic CJ's head IS Classic BB's head.... they're the same toy. Repaints. I'm trying to give my CJ a *distinct* head, so he doesn't just look like another red Bumblebee repain. Besides, Classics 'Bee has a friendly grin, and Cliffjumper isn't exactly the "friendly" sort.

There are tutorials were you can you the jet ski parts and modify the head more accurately.

Hmmmmm... well, this is definitely one solution to try... not sure if I wanna sacrifice any parts from Cliffjumper yet... and this doesn't solve the problem with his silly grin... I'll consider it though. I've been meaning to give him a different trailer hitch anyhow, like a little quad motorbike that transforms into a back-mounted auto cannon.
