Description
After looking at more reference materiel and doing some thinking, I made a new- more G1 accurate planet face for my own personal Unicron custom. This will be an option for my future Unicron commissions offered for just $10 more than my original G1 planet face price.I've done 8 Unicrons now. I need to start putting together bonus items and hold a contest for the 9th one or something cus it will be UNICRON9!

So you just took out the original hatch and put in a new one?

Well no, but close. I removed the original, did a bit of sanding on it, then sculpted the new planet mouth over it before putting it back in. I also removed the springs so it wouldn't open without doing so manually.
