I really like this picture of your butterfly crisp and sharp looks like it wants to fly out of your page colors are lovely, I also like butterfly's they remind me of fairy's always have since i was a kid. I find it hard to get a photo like this cause they are usually flapping their wings or fly away as i take the picture. well done excellent photo.
Was it on a daisy flower looks like a daisy. The detail with the makings are great also. Do you get different butterfly's? In Australia we have heaps of different kinds

heres your informal critique (no premium membership here...)

you did an exceptional job on this photo, the colors blend nicely with each other int he background and the focal point stand out proudly. its crystal clear and sharp and it really draws the viewers eye. the back ground is blurred beautifully so not to bother the viewers attention.

the only thing i would do to improve on this is to better follow the rule of thirds. i went on ahead and drew a grid on your photo and circled where the best spots are for the focal points:

[link]

having the focal points on the cross sections of lines 2 and 3, 3 and 2, and so on, are proven to be more appealing to the human eye.

great job over all. take this advice with a grain of salt though, i've only been in one photography class at my school. I absolutely adore your photography.

Wow, thanks for that critique! =]
I very appreciate this.

just didnt understood what should i do at this part:
"having the focal points on the cross sections of lines 2 and 3, 3 and 2, and so on"

What part should i crop?

RixModels In reply to Unilight [2011-07-03 01:32:30 +0000 UTC]

oh, let me try to clarify, my mistake.

i was trying to explain the areas that i circled in the grid photo i provided. thats all. the focal point of photos should be located under the cross sections of these lines (the circled areas).

just remember not to center your focal point. Its called "dead center" for a reason, because photos become dull when the focal point is centered

Unilight In reply to Unilight [2011-07-03 09:26:40 +0000 UTC]

And what do you suggesting, should put the focal point on the left or on the right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RixModels In reply to Unilight [2011-07-03 12:44:34 +0000 UTC]

the lower right, definitely.

It's a bit complicated 'cause if i crop it now, it look artificially ><
i should have done it on the place.. well, next time
