[SARCASTIC] - “Oh no, go ahead. You were already doing *such a great job* already.”
Call it rude or just joking around, Mstari is a sarcastic cat. She had lived with the best and the most talented, and hence isn’t above poking a bit of fun at cats who she thinks are being stupid. This does break down slightly with felines who she feels protective over, however that requires her to know you a bit.

[SEDUCTIVE] - “Darling, I’m always free if you want some one on one training...”
After having to fake it and be alone for so long Mstari is looking for a mate. With such a wide variety of felines in the empire, the choices in males are much wider than expected; however she isn’t about to let this put a dampener on her pursuit.

[PLAYFUL] - “There’s time for a little fun; loosen up!”
Mstari always was a playful cub, and that hasn’t gone away. No longer having eyes trail your every move can feel liberating, and to this lioness who has finally escaped the latter, this aspect of her can be seen rekindled in the way she interacts with close friends and younger cats.

[HEADSTRONG] - “I’m sorry, do you have a problem with my idea? If so, be a dear and tell it to my face next time.”
She was a chief, and had worked up from the bottom to get there in her past; and whilst she tries to be respectful of leader and silver; sometimes she feels the need to take the reins - so to say. This does mean she can come into contension with experienced gladiators, however she isn't one to argue too much; she just go off and do it her way despite them.

[JEALOUS] - “What? Why did he pick *her* for the head of the patrol?”
Mstari is known to speak out when she believes something could be done… better. However, sometimes this is not the case, and it is more fuelled by the greed or petty desires. You can normally distinguish which is which as her tone of voice changes quite clearly. Stopping that jealousy however, requires more tactful wording.

She has finally found her brother again! And hence is happy. She also might seem quite curious to see how unique the way of living in these empires are.

BACKGROUND She was born first alongside Kiguara in the mountains. Neither cub was very close to their mother, as she was a very strict lioness. The two were each other's best friend, since you don't really meet many other up in the mountains. They were quite the trouble-makers, but in the end they were there for each other. Raising by a single mom, the two never knew who their father was. Either way, their mother taught them the basics of life, and then sent them away. The two took separate paths, as their mother insisted it wouldn't be good for them to stay together.

Mstari only tried to travel alone for a short span of time relative to her total time spent out of the empires. The female soon found herself longing for the company of her brother. The games and the trouble they got into, they did it together. If she tried to play around now; it was only with the gentle winds of the mountains as company.

This changed when she eventually crossed paths with a bizarre cluster of lions, lodged in the far reaches of the crags. Or at least, they claimed to be lions. Some looked like her family, but others - the mountain lions - were smaller, framed differently. They claimed to creating a pack, a family, of their own. And to the lonely female, it seemed like an answer to her problems.

Mstari soon learned that this felines were not like her actual family. To them, it was a constant battle for dominance to maintain your reputation in this group; and so the lower members would waste away in the shadows. The lioness’s loud voice easily got her opinion heard, increasing her position, but also pushing down other felines. Any moment of “weakness” from her: trying to sympathise and play with those below her, result in mockery. She had to resort to flirting, belittling, and demanding to keep in the favour of those in charge.

After some years, she had grown to be among the chiefs, however never found any pleasure in her position. The disappearance of some pack members to humans and their “hunters” had resurfaced memories of her separation from her brother, and had also brought another problem. Some of the missing cats were chiefs, and with less chiefs… her eyes had flicked nervously over the ambitious eyes. She wasn’t safe here. So, late one night she crept out of camp, and when out of view sprinted down the mountainside to the land below.

She travelled around the valleys for a while; eager to find the brother she had left so long ago. He had to be down here; after all, she hadn’t seen him in the mountain tops in the years spent up there. The female resolved to check with every feline she came across for sightings of him, even if she had to use some of the tactics from the mountains to get it out of them. ”I’m looking for a dark lion, some russet and stripes on the legs like me. You seen him or cat got your tongue?” And it was in this journey that she eventually received a different response, far more guarded than normal, from small group that claimed that she had crossed their borders. If they are like the pack, they must have leaders, right? I’ll take my inquiry further with them. And so brushing it off with her pride, she let herself be escorted for the time being into what they called their camp. Their home. And unknown to her, Kiguara’s home too.
