Description
It’s about time I drew some fanart for my very first/oldest fandom, Star Trek: Voyager! Captain Janeway has always been my favorite character in the franchise and I wanted to illustrate how she is the guiding force behind Voyager’s journey home. Hope you like it!Related content

I LOVE it! Captain Janeway is my character in the franchise, too.

OMG this is so beautiful!
I legitimately squeaked out when I saw it.
You captured her so well, and your style is amazing!

What an amazing art-piece.
I mostly see the ship as a prison or a tool, but this image is really inspiring in a way.
The whole framing of a captain giving a soul to a ship. I love it.
Or that at least is my interpretation...

Thanks. Yeah, that interpretation is pretty close to what I was going for here. I always liked the idea of the ship being more than just a lifeless hunk of metal. I even have an AU series where I've made Voyager (and other ships) into living beings called "Vesselons": VP: 1: Lady Voyager (excuse the quality of art; that was my skill five years ago
). I remember in the episode, "Year of Hell, Part II," Janeway says something like, "...it's carried us, nurtured us...in a way, I feel as close to Voyager as any member of my crew." I always liked that.
