Description I was lying in bed last night, unable to sleep because of a huge storm.
And I had this, like, feeling epiphany about my entry. I was too tired to get it into coherent thoughts, but it basically boiled down to 'this is a pile of shit and you're only in round 3 because you are a lucky son of a bitch'
I feel like I'm doing that unnecessary repetition things Robin critiqued me about, but then I feel like I'm not???? I already cut out two scenes and will probably cut out a bit of a third. (already have the full draft written)
Like I was all 'oh hey conversation about this, I can hit upon that point again with character actions and how they work together' but then another part was all 'Robin said doing that was bad' and then I'm just all 'how the FUCK am I supposed to get my point across if it only happens once?!'

And then it just kinda spiraled downwards and I felt like the above all night long? I didn't want to look at my writing today. :V
Not quitting. Just quitting for a day or two and then trying again.

Actually, if you are trying to make a point, in academic writing they recommend repeating it 3 times or more. The same can be applied for important information being transferred through a story. I don't recommend repeating something that is useless to the progression of the plot, and I don't recommend repeating something 3 times one right after itself, but in academic papers we were told once in the intro, once in the body and once in the conclusion.... which can break that down into scenes or certain chapters, yada yada.

So basically:
Repeat important things IF you feel repeating them is important to the plot. You can repeat them in short verse or in the characters actions as well, remember that.
Do Not repeat things that have no importance to the plot or that are tangent or that have no use in resurfacing.

At least you're at the point where you can cut things out. ;A; I still don't have a full draft written.
