The noses on Navis look a bit like cat noses. Especially on the sketch one

Well i just started talking about it, and doing tuts on it, and i had alot of people asking for more info on certain parts. like in tut 3 i talked about photomaniping and such. And this one, i talked about a few topics others wanted me to talk about from my research.

but it just bugs me when they have a drawing or photomanip, and they have eyebrows, and they call it a Na'vi, im just like, nooooo......so i thought i'd stick my neck out there and help some people out. I just hope! they read the tuts that are out there xD

Well, in one of my journals i have a list of what will be on future tutorials.
But yes we have five and they have four. But I'll be sure to talk about that too. I take requests on what you;d like to know!

do you have some more detailed tuts? cuz I've got huge probs creating a Na'vi nose from a human nose, chaning the eyes, the ears... bluing... actually anything >.< but I would love to make myself into an Avatar/Na'vi ^^

I have a tut on the ears, but sure i'll make a tut for the nose. But for the eyes, I just copyed and posted. But i'll add that to the list <3 photomaniping nose, and eyes, that i know of lol

actually I think only Neytiri had the eyebrow stripes because she was the second main character and they wanted us to be able to connect with her. All the other Na'vi just didnt have eyebrows.

I remember that I heard that they game the Na'vi eyebrow stripes cuz eyebrows are a lot more important for emotions/expressions than you might think and that the emotions would look like crap... I just thought I heard it somewhere... don't kill me if I'm wrong

They did give Neytiri eyebrow stripes for the reasons your saying, but if you look at pictures of Eytukan or Tsu'tey or any of the other Na'vi, none of them have it. I remember looking for them on others at some point and none of the others but Neytiri have them. *shruggs*
