What kind of photoshop program is it exactly? Can it work for any?

Yes any photoshop works. ^^ And mind you, I started using photoshop cs3, then have use cs4, cs5 up to cs6 and they all have same settings but I would recommend of you to use/start with cs5 because it has new set of brushes. ^^
