So when a control becomes a bug and then gets deleted, do they get replaced by a new control representing the same function? I remember reading about that happening to Anti-Virus 0.1

Yes, they will be replaced. However, a System can create only one Control of each function. So they have to find leftover/survivor Controls from corrupted systems.
Anti-Viruses are different though. They are created when needed.

the bugs actually look like all your other finalized-ish media control designs but.. idk bugged out. : P

so when your entire concept as a project is finalized, are data going to be just silhouettes as like this picture cause if so i think that would be really cool. how these citizens are just silhouettes to the main characters. it kinda of symbolizes real life, in how you just walk past someone not knowing anything about them except their look, and your barely ever think of them again.

No they are going to be designed as any other character. The only things that would be closest to silhouettes are the glitches. So sadly that symbolism isn't going to work out...

i also just noticed that all the designs on data's clothes are 1's and 0's meaning binary code which indeed is data. I LOVE IT

Well, a bug is just the last form of a Control. So you'd had to make a Control to make theirr Bug form.
But no, I do not suggest to make a Bug design before I have given permission to do so.

Oh my goodness this is so beautiful! The different data silouhettes seem to have some sort of indigenous style and it fits their design so well! I'm excited to see them in color!
And the bugs look absolutely terrifying! I can recognize a few of them (I think? XD) It took me a bit to recognize shuffle - nightmare fuel. I adore eject pause!
Is there any reason for the mini Trojan? He's cute, but I'm just curious about the reason behind it.
