Confrontation"The affections are like lightning: you cannot tell where they will strike till they have fallen." - Jean Baptiste Lacordaire
I jumped over the fence, landing in a roll, not caring that I got mud on my clothes. Normally I would pull a disgusted face and stop to wipe it off, but I didn't have the time. The car was still moving and I had to get to her. I had to tell her. There was no time to stop and catch my breath no matter how tired I was.
The car was getting farther and farther away from me. I wish that I had enough time to hijack a car, but there wasn't.
"Wait!" I yelled out, but they didn't hear me. They didn't stop.
Now you must be wondering why I'm running like this in the rain, or why I'm chasing after a car. Well, it all began because of her. Kimberly Anne Possible.
One Month Ago
I strolled into the kitchen of the lair and grabbed the newspaper before flopping down onto one of the chairs. Dr. D was working on one of his latest "genius" evil plan, grumbling something about Kimmie and the buffoon ruining them all the time and that this one will work. I scoffed...yeah right.
As I unfolded the newspaper I noticed that Kimmie had made the front page...again. It was nothing new and I didn't want to read about what happened and who she saved because we - more like me - were responsible for her being on the front page. But before I could even turn the page, the big bold heading had caught my attention.
It wasn't about the latest mission, nor was it about Kimmie doing anything greater than that. But it was something shocking. Something that would make the world shout "WHAT?!" and hide their family in the safest place they can find. It would make every villain grin with glee and dance their pants off. I'd seen that happen to Dr. D once, and let me tell you it wasn't a pretty sight.
My eyes widened as I read every big bold word of the headline.
KIM POSSIBLE RESIGNING?!
The picture below it showed Kimmie standing grim faced before a crowd of flashing cameras and reporters shoving mics in her face.
I blinked once. I blinked twice. My hands began to tremble. My teeth gritting together. In a second the newspaper was on the floor engulfed by the green flames of my plasma.
"WHAT?!"
"Shego? " Dr. D poked his head into the room. "Did you rip the newspaper? I was going to play sudoko!"
I completely ignored my employer, as I stormed past Dr. D.
"Shego! Where are you going?"
"Out!"
I strode into the garage and hopped onto my motorcycle, not bothering to get my helmet. Safety wasn't my top priority at that time and my thoughts were too messed up to think straight. I brought the bike to life, opening the secret exit of the garage, and zoomed out.
It was nighttime when I made it to Kimmie's house. As I turned off the engine, I looked up at the house with it's lights still on. There were unspoken rules between us villains and heroes: we would never invade one another's homes. It was just a certain territory, and believe it or not, we respected each other in only that way. I had a lot of respect for Kimmie, and yet here I was, disrespecting her.
But I was too pissed off. I got off my bike and walked over to the Possible house. I stood directly under Kimmie's window and examined the wall before scaling it. It was an easy feat but I was in no mood for celebrating over something so little and childish.
When I made it closer to her window, I peered in and saw her lying on her bed face down. The lights were still on and I saw her computer was too. Her site was pulled up on her screen and what had pissed me off more was that it had a 404 Error, informing visitors that the site was closed.
Without further hesitation, I opened the window in a furious attempt, with no effort in being quiet. Kimmie had leaped up from her bed and was staring at me in disbelief and was about to say something, but she didn't get the chance.
"What do you think you're doing?!" I shouted.
She continued to stare at me, confusion, disbelief, and shock written all over her face.
"Shego-" she got up trying to hush me.
I gestured violently at her computer. "What the hell are you doing?!"
"Kim? Whose that shouting up there?" I heard her mother call from downstairs.
Kimmie nervously glanced at the door. "It's just the radio mom!" she looked back at me and hissed, "Shego, shut up!"
"Don't tell me-MFFPPHH!"
She had flung me onto her bed and was covering her hand on my mouth.
"Well turn the volume down please!" her mother called again.
"Okay mom!"
I finally managed to push her off me and glared at her. "What the hell is wrong with you!"
"No, what the hell is wrong with you?" she asked me, her voice brought down into a whisper. "And keep it down will you!"
"How can I keep it down when you're freaking resigning?!"
She had kept her mouth shut after that and she bowed her head. I had almost felt sorry for her. Almost.
"So it's about that...?"
I rolled my eyes. "No, it's about me being too sexy. Of course it's about you resigning, dodo brain!"
"Look," she told me with a sigh. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow, daring her to come up with a good excuse. "I'm just... I'm just tired of the hero thing."
My shoulders slouched. "That's it? You're 'tired?'" I said, putting quotes in the air when I said tired.
"Being a hero isn't easy, Shego!"
"Yeah, I know!" I said. Obviously I knew, having been a hero once. Ugh, the memory just made me shiver with disgust.
"You have it easy, Shego. You don't have school to worry about. Your job is being a criminal!" she ran a hand through her hair and avoided eye contact. "You don't have to be worry about the people you love whom you are endangering."
She was right. I didn't have to worry about all that. My brothers could defend themselves even though they were idiots, and the rest of my family? Well, I haven't spoken to them in five years.
But I knew that it couldn't be just that that had made her quit the hero thing. I mean seriously, she's been doing this thing since she was fourteen! It would certainly take a lot to make her quit.
"Well..." I said, trying to come up with something that would make her change her mind. "What happened to your family motto? Anything's Possible for a Possible?"
She smiled and I took that as a good sign.
"I didn't say that it wasn't impossible," she said, finally looking at me.
I sighed and got up. "Well, I don't know what your problemo is Princess, but you're not quitting."
"Oh? And why's that?" she tested.
I smirked and pulled out the stuffed animal I had behind my back. "Because as long as I have him," her eyes widened, "the game is still on. Say bye bye!" I waved the Pandaroo's arm and jumped out the window just as she came at me.
"Shego!"

Yeah it is bad. But if he don't want talk with me or my sister it is his fault.
