Nice photo. That flower is of the Acanthus family. Here in Malta we have the Acanthus latifolius, commonly known as the Common Bear's Breeches. It flowers between March and June.
Unfortunately it tends to grown wild and is pretty difficult to eradicate.

thanks...well ive never seen it before except for in the botanical gardens, its a weird looking plant tho but i like the way the photo turned out...i guess it would bloom in different times over here tho coz arent our seasons different?

Yes, our seasons are different. Summer has just passed, we are now in autumn.

lol neither are ours! its quite good! we've already been swimming at the beach...lol which was in september we had three days in a row over 30 degress celcius

it kinda depends where in australia u r...up north its about 40C or just under all year around...im guessing down south here the average is in the 30's...im not really sure

Malta is not really cold in the winter months, but we do have a LOT of humidity and that makes it worse.
