Nepenthe has always thought of autumn as an ominous time. not as if it was bad, but she didn't think of it as something good either.
she observed the changing of the seasons, the leaves leaving a golden path to walk. thinking of this time, where beauty can be seen in the wilting of life.
it reminded her of something, a twinge in her spirit, but she could not place it.
every year, when the leaves start to crisp and the air becomes sharp, she walks the forest, observing the changes with interest.
she hopes that one day, these paths will show her why she feels this strange warmth.
