Description
The weapon field case shown in the 1995 version of Ghost in the Shell. It's only seen for about 2 seconds during the Spider Tank battle in the abandoned museum, but contains a variety of equipment.
The diagrams depict similar gear that compliment the CZN M22 submachine.
Here is a brief explanation of each component:
- ceramic bayonet with sheath featuring Crvena Zastava Nosle (CZN) company logo
- flash suppressor or small bottle of gun oil above
- container labeled BTZ (the Z resembles one below on the grenade launcher)
- two extra magazines with ammunition
- a fabric sling on the left (for the two clasps on the M22)
- 11 explosive 20mm rounds (activated by fillister heads with 2-second twist fuses)
- the cavity for the M22, marked below with a CZN label
- quadrant sight assembly with embossed range selection arc from 50-400 meters (in 25m increments)
- the grenade launcher attachment, with exposed trigger, stamped with the full Crvena Zastava Nosle manufacturer name
The scene had stunning animation, but the director used some odd tactics to further the plot. Mostly the complete lack of any strategy by Kusanagi while engaging a walking spider tank armed with gatling guns. She enters the building with no weapon drawn, then changes her weapon's bolt carrier and barrel after being spotted. Then she leaves her gear while strafing the exceedingly aware spider tank. And upon running out of ammo she leaves the cover of the reinforced steel bar columns to do BACK-FLIPS UP A STAIRCASE. Then completely strips down to SOMERSAULT onto said tank, with no way of entering except to pry open the hatch using only her cyborg hands... This failed miserably.
